Movie Characters Perform "Baby Got Back"

by at . Comments

A collection of movie characters from at least 200 films recently came together - or were spliced together by one dedicated fan - to "perform" an unforgettable version of Sir Mix-a-Lot's seminal hip hop smash "Baby Got Back."

Brilliantly played, Internet. Brilliantly played.

The video is similar to the one of Obama singing "Sexy and I Know It" in that every word is accounted for seamlessly, only in this case, using hundreds of films.

A true work of genius. No matter how many films you see or how much movie news you read, you'd be hard pressed to nail even half of those clips.

I still think that this is playing too ceoslly to fans of the novel and needs to be broadened a bit more to play to the people Lionsgate really must convince, and I felt that the I volunteer as tribute moment was a tad stiff, but the studio has plenty of time to work on the former and the latter probably works better in full context. So I'm strangely excited. Considering this read a lot like Winter's Bone meets Battle Royale, it feels like its own thing, and I'm a fan of the casting choices though I know little and less of Hemsworth. In other words, I'm looking forward to March.
