Phillip Phillips: Very Early American Idol Favorite!
Granted, it's early. It's very, very, very early.
There's probably a better chance that American Idol viewers never hear from Phillip Phillips again than there is that this southern pawn shop worker goes on to win season 11. But that doesn't mean the aspiring crooner doesn't deserve a shout-out today, as she stood above all others in Savannah on last night's premiere audition episode.
Watch below as Phillips wows the panel with two songs, first a unique take on "Superstition" and then a version of "Thriller." Anyone else reminded here of Casey Abrams?

he is nothing like casey, casey was scary! i couldnt stand casey at all and didnt think casey was good at all. phillip is amazing, sexy voice, sexy eyes, hes just sexy. and hes very talented. if he doesnt win hell still have an amazing career

if you are such good friends with him you would know phillip phillips favorite american idol is casey abrams , so yeah i take it phillip wants to be like him, he EVEN SAID IT HIMSELF !

My 17 month old daughter made me rewind his audition song thriller 20 times and asks to watch it every morning. I think he will win this year based upon being able to connect even with a baby!!

TO WHOMEVER WROTE THIS ARTICLE, I love philip and he is a good friend of mine, but casey? NOTHING AT ALL ALIKE! infact they have two completely different voices..very very bad comparison

I don't see anything in common with Crazy Casey Abrams but his unique renditions did remind me of David Cook. He was very talented!
