Ron Paul Walks Off CNN Interview, Irritated By New Questions About Old Newsletters
by Free Britney at .GOP Presidential candidate Ron Paul furrowed his eyebrows, growing agitated before taking off his mic and walking away from CNN interview about his old newsletters.
As Paul has gained traction in recent polls, the media has turned up the heat, alleging that he made money and won fame with a sometimes racist series of publications.
Paul claims he didn't read most of the newsletters and their controversial content, written during the 1980s and 1990s, despite them being published under his name.
He has taken responsibility for being a bad publisher, but disavowed the views, as he explained to CNN's Gloria Borger, who grilled him on the topic yesterday ...
"Why don't you go back and look at what I said yesterday on CNN and what I’ve said for 20 something years. 22 years ago?" the 76-year-old Paul said at the outset.
"I didn't write them, I disavow them, that's it."
Borger pressed on for a few seconds before urging Paul to react to what people are saying about the allegations. "These things are pretty incendiary," Borger said.
"Because of people like you," Paul snapped back.
Later, when talking with Borger about the interview incident on air, Situation Room host Wolf Blizter suggested that Paul "got tired of talking about" the allegations.
He could have probably handled it a lot better, although he has answered the same questions the same way a ton of times now, including last week on Hannity.
What do you think? Is Paul's explanation satisfactory? Will the fiery newsletters from long ago continue to dog him, or will they become background noise?

See those cuts? The interview was over. Search for the full interview on YouTube... They were talking afterward when he left. CNN can try to be misleading, but you can't lie to a generation who knows how to use google.
IF THIS WEAK LITTLE CLOWN, GOT TO BE PREIDENT, GET READY TO LEARN THE KORAN, AND MARRY AN UGLY WOMAN. HE WOULD HAND THE COUNTRY OVER TO THE TERRORISTS, WITHOUT A FIGHT.
Ron Paul is not a racist. CNN kept badgering him with the same ridiculous question repeatedly. Paul answered graciously until he was done repeating himself over and over. He was as gracious as possible until it was clear he was going to be harassed about items he didn't write over 20 years ago. He disavows the statements. that should settle the matter. Ron Paul is the most intelligent, honest and responsible candidate. Vote Ron Paul!
Are you kidding? This is considered walking off? He couldn't have been more polite and straightforward. He answered the same exact question 3 times and she kept asking it. It was the CNN reporter that ended up apologizing and trying to rationalize her behavior. The main stream media is just not used to politicians that answer their questions clearly and concisely. They don't know what to do with that. They are used to Romney-esq and Gingrich-esq non-answers to all their flip flops. They are just not used to someone who is consistent and straight.
Ron Paul IS NOT a racist, do you want to know how you can find the truth for yourself? Look at the bill for the Martin Luther King holiday. Paul voted for it while 90 Others in congress did not. If Paul was pandering to the white supremisist groups he would not have voted for something that clearly is a statement that he IS NOT a racist. The proof that paul is not a racist is in his voting records, But YOU WON'T see that mentioned on the news when they are trying to SMEAR him. They don't mention he voted for bills that goes against what a racist would of done. Fuck the media and their lies.
