Michael Jackson Estate Courting Big Names For Tribute Concert
Michael Jackson's mother, Katherine, has reached out to some of the biggest stars in music in hopes that they will perform at a tribute show for her son.
Jay-Z, Kanye West, Cee Lo, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Christina Aguilera, Usher, Bruno Mars and others have received invites (below) from Katherine.
Katherine Jackson is asking them to perform 1-2 of their favorite MJ songs in Cardiff, Wales on October 8, promising "first class travel accommodations."

So far, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars have respectfully declined due to scheduling conflicts, while Christina and Kanye are leaning towards going.
Cee Lo Green, meanwhile, has already committed.
Tickets to the event have not gone on sale yet, but it's still very early. Promoters say they will become available once a complete line-up is booked.
It should be a memorable night, to say the least.

The "Estate" has nothing to do with this and should stop it even if they have to sue Katherine. I read she signed a contract agreeing to have the children promote it - if true something should be done to protect those kids even if they are removed from the jacksons

This "tribute" has zero, less than zero, to do with the "Jackson Estate". This "tribute" is sponsored by the Jackson family. And I agree with a prior user, no Kanye West, please, this man is just ridiculous. The Jackson family is, imo, trying to do one of two things, or possibly both: navigate public opinion away from the trial of Conrad Murray, and/or confuse the public away from the Cirque show which is being conducted under the auspices of Michael's estate. Any name star who conveniently forgets that this "tribute" falls in the midst of the Murray trial will be boycotted by Michael's fans and supporters who seek justice with regard to his homicide. A "tribute" will be worth waiting for when justice in regard to Murray has been done.

@ The Jackson Family:
Please consider crossing Kanye West off that list of entertainers, this man is an egomaniac/embarrassment and with his ranting and raving will make Michael's tribute concert all about himself!!

The Estate actually has nothing to do with this tribute concert. It's all of the family.
