Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt: Broke!
Once the loudest, proudest fame whores around, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag lived a fake life for the sake of cameras for years and reaped the benefits.
Nowadays, however, things are a bit different.
They’re broke and living in a beach house in Santa Barbara owned by his folks, who let them live there rent-free. Few other family members speak to them.
Heidi Montag’s plastic surgery binge has marred her face and body. They are largely unemployable, both on camera and off, victims of their own success.
Three short years ago, they were at the top of their game with The Hills, working every lever of the celebrity industrial-machine to their advantage.
Speidi. One word said it all. You knew them. You hated them. But you ate up their antics and the celeb culture they embodied. They knew it. Worked it.
But things turned dark as The Hills wound down. By the end of 2009, their lives grew increasingly insane ... not to mention financially unsustainable.
Lavish spending on useless crap - cars, clothes, her music career - killed them.
“We were getting paid to be people we weren’t for so long that there’s no line,” Spencer Pratt says. “What we learned is, you can be too famous.”

Spencer is the biggest idiot ever. He honestly thinks he's so famous, next to Barack Obama. Let me tell you now, I guarantee half of America doesn't know who Speidi is let alone the rest if the world. Heidi and Spencer are surpassed stupid and gone into crazy town. That interview on THE VIEW said it all. They deserve to be broke but poor Spencer's parents for putting up with this parasite

They are both obnoxious and they deserve each other. If they are broke, that is because they are obviously not mature enough to handle their finances properly.

Victims of their own success? They were never successful. Heidi was thrown into that show by chance, and much good did it do to her. I think they were destroyed by their obsession with each other (and possibly by Spencer's craziness)

That says is all. Nobody believed they were more famous than
Spencer Pratt himself, readily volunteering to inflict misery on his wife when joining the cast of "I'm a celebrity get me our of here" when the majority of Americans wondered who the hell they were to begin with. All that plastic surgery had to be mostly his idea. I believe they will break up soon and she will be seeing shortly dancing at the Wimplash Lounge off route 60.
