John Edwards Mug Shot: Always a Politician ...

Going by these images, you'd never expect that former U.S. Senator John Edwards knocked up mistress Rielle Hunter while his wife was terminally ill, lied about it repeatedly, then allegedly covered it up with campaign funds.
But, here we are.
Nice to see John Edwards is still having fun.
Edwards pleaded not guilty to conspiracy and campaign law violations. These mug shots were obtained by CNN. Goooo Freedom of Information Act!
The plea came after a grand jury indicted him on six counts, including conspiracy, issuing false statements and violating campaign finance laws.
The grand jury had been investigating whether money given to support Rielle Hunter by benefactors of Edwards' 2008 run for the presidency.
Their conclusion was that there was enough evidence to charge Edwards, who insists that despite his personal failings, he did not break the law.
A plea deal between Edwards and the U.S. Justice Department fell apart over the the DOJ's requirement that Edwards go to jail. He declined.
Guess he'll roll the dice at trial, where his chances of beating the rap are iffy. In the court of opinion, however, he's long since been convicted.

Who takes a mug shot like that. Honestly, no remorse, no emotion, no soul in this guy! What is wrong with him? He had an amazing beautiful kind wife who was dying and he abandoned him for a cheap affair and a love child he pays no attention to anyway. I am so glad he broke up with the mistress and this is flat out pathetic. I hope he goes to jail for life.
I feel soooooooooooooo sad for his beautiful wife that passed...She had cancer, and put up with so much of his bad behavior......People fall in and out of love all the time, but at least they can do is be honest about an affair....that is always the best thing to do, be honest.. He has such a puppy dog face, no wonder he turned out to be a dog...I hope this teaches others that run for office a lesson.

@ Alison Dunn: Please forgive me for being so forward, I just had to respond, and ask if you were psychic, considering that John Edwards was born in 1953 which is (according to Oriental teachings) The Year of the Snake. It was most definitely met with humor considering the fact that you called (his animal sign) just right. Dare I ask for at least 5 of the numbers for Powerball Tonight??
