Beyonce Wins Millenium Award, Performs New Single
Two of the biggest artists on the planet got their S&M on, while the most adorable couple in Hollywood displayed some serious PDA.
But the 2011 Billboard Music Awards really belonged to Beyonce.
That's because the 29-year old superstar was honored with the Millenium Award at the ceremony, a trophy presented to her in a pre-recorded video by Lady Gaga, mother Tina Knowles and Michelle Obama.
Upon accepting the career achievement, Beyonce gave a shout-out to a certain hip hop icon in the crowd. She said: “I don’t want to put you on the spot because I know their probably putting a camera in your face right now, but I love me some Jay-Z.”
The singer also performed her latest hit, "Run the World (Girls)." Check it out below.
