Ryan and Scarlett are living apart. The split was amicable. The couple married in September 2008, and recently battled rumors of marital strife.
Those rumors intensified this week, with both TMZ and Perez Hilton confirming that Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds are indeed divorcing.
Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds are separated and will divorce.
The split, and their plan to divorce, has now been confirmed.
Ryan and Scarlett released a statement via their rep, saying, "After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we've decided to end our marriage."
"We entered into our relationship with love and it's with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated."
Ryan Reynolds told GQ in September that Scarlett was "the best part" of his life, though he said having a family was "a few years down the road."The couple was rarely seen out together - so rarely it's hard to even find photos of it. Their most visible appearance was June's Tony Awards.
