Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski Break Up
Another Bachelorette couple bites the dust - and one we thought had a shot.
Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski, who got engaged on the previous season finale of The Bachelorette, have called off their engagement, according to reports.
This leaves Trista and Ryan Sutter as the only Bachelorette couple still together, with Jason and Molly Mesnick the lone survivors from The Bachelor side.
"I love him and I'm really sad, but I have to look out for me," Jillian Harris said.
"We're both kind of resetting," Swiderski added. "Jillian isn't happy and I'm definitely sad about the whole thing, but we've got to work through some things."
Ed says that they will do so "on our own if we decide to move forward."
Jillian and Ed called it quits. Did you see that coming?
We don't expect this to turn into a public war of words like the split between Bachelor stars Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi. But it's still a sad situation.
Last August, reports swirled about Ed Swiderski juggling two girlfriends while wooing Harris on the show (and even slept with one after proposing to her).
They seemed to be fine, as the couple mostly stayed out of the spotlight, then announced their wedding plans on this past season finale of The Bachelor.
But recently, things apparently took a turn for the worse.
"There's bumps on the road, and we don't always deal with them properly," Harris said in an interview just last month. "Our life is not always perfect."
Sorry to hear it ... but call us, Jill. You can do better. As for Ed, is it too late for him to rock those '70s-style basketball shorts on Bachelor Pad?

I just saw them at Emerald Lake in British Columbia. They were having dinner and left the restaurant with a bottle of wine. So I say it looks like they are trying to work it out. Good for them.

I just saw Ed and Jillian eating breakfast together at the Stoney Nakoda Resort and Casino near Canmore, Alberta, yesterday morning! They appeared to be staying there with a group of friends and were sitting beside each other at the table. Looks like they might be working things out...

They go on these shows, lots of hugs and kisses and attention and trips all over with fancy date settings with food and booze. Who cares whether they stay together! Just think of the fancy long vacation they have and for those that stay on. Exposure, SL's in magazines with pictures and money and the list goes on. Some succeed after the show and move on but the memories are all there of a fun free vacation by so many. Whether the bachelorette keeps the engagement ring is something else. I look at these shows as entertainment and don't expect much from it.

Sorry it didnot work out for you Jill. I think you will find the right man when the time is right for you on your own schedule not with the help of a tv reality show.
You came across as a cute sensible young gal and you deserve the best.I hope you find it but don't sit idle waiting for the right guy.Go out and there and live your life! Don't let 'husband hunting' dictate how you live your life.Go for it girl and good luck!

Picking Ed was a joke from the beginning. She thought he was cute
and like all cons (he had experience in this)he roped her in.
Guys like him NEVER change--that's WHO they are. They need someone to counsel these people on what to look for to help steer them if they are truly seeking a mate.
.............AND I agree..who screens these people??????
