Keri Hilson Forgets Words to National Anthem
Keri Hilson performed our National Anthem at the Atlanta Hawks-Los Angeles Lakers game Wednesday and in our opinion, really didn't do the thing justice.
The right lyrics might have helped.
Hilson belted out “The Star Spangled Banner” in front of thousands of Hawks fans, which included musical peers and fellow Atlanta residents T.I., Jeezy, The-Dream and Monica, who were all on hand inside Philips Arena to witness the affair.
Fortunately, the home team delivered a convincing win, because the night didn't exactly start out strong as Keri Hilson forgot the words to the iconic song.
The murmurs from the crowd are hilarious ...

Hilson, who was linked to Chris Brown lately, at least hung tough through the mishap and finished the song. She also didn't beat Rihanna at any point.

Woah, so now someone is a bitch because she forgot the words to the national anthem. I mean, it was early in her music career, obviiously because a bunch of people are saying they dont know who she is. but still, to sing in front of that many people is nerve racking. I know because singing at a high school game, for me is nerve racking. I think who ever called her a bitch should grow up and look at the reality of the situation. k'thanks(:

What a Bitch? I knew that song from a very early age as a child, even my god-niece knows it and she`s three, from first word to last. All she had to remember was the first verse, not all three. Damn. Keri, here are the words, the first verse of what you needed to know for the game: Oh Say can you see by the dawn`s early light What`s so proudly we hail`d at the twilight`s last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro` the perilous fight. O`er the ramarts, we watch`d, were so gallantly streaming? As an american soldier I find it particularly insulting that she had the nerve to salute after this performance. If you are going to sing the country's ANTHEM, practice! And yes brad I know all of the words and I do not find her voice or her looks an excuse.

I have never heard of her, but that must have been very embarrasing to her. I probably wold forget the words also, especialloy in front of so many people. If she sings again, maybe she can have a teleprompter.
