Rihanna: Still a Fan of Chris Brown ... Music

In a series of recent interviews, Rihanna recalled Chris Brown's assault on her in graphic detail, describing just how haunting and terrifying that night was.

She'd never take him back, she insists (not that the court would allow him to), but she's not completely turned off by her ex - she still listens to his music.

In an interview with The Bert Show on Q100 Atlanta, Rihanna said despite their violent past, she misses Brown, and his songs remind her of good times.

"When it comes on the radio I don't frown or turn it off, I just ... listen. I like his music," she said. "I've gotten over [Chris] but there are definitely constant reminders, and a lot of that comes from listening to his songs."

Rihanna Partyin

Sans Chris Brown, Rihanna is all smiles these days.

As for that rumor surfacing yesterday that she's now dating Tristan Wilds, Rihanna says that's not true. So not true that "I don't even have his number."

She says the 90210 cast member did come to a house party she had, and that they hung out, but that's it. As for whether she's looking for a boyfriend?

"No ... I'm a very flirty girl, though," she said, laughing. "I don't think I have the time or the energy for a relationship. It's like another career, really."

After how her last one ended, a little time off is probably good.

Chris Brown on Dating: Just Chillin' For Now

Chris Brown is ready to move on.

Following his assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna, he has been sentenced and has begun the community labor and counseling that are part of his probation.

He's withstood crazy fans berating him, made the media rounds, apologizing for his actions; and he's gearing up for the release of his album next month.

But when it comes to jumping back into the dating pool, the singer said that for a variety of reasons, that's pretty much on hold - at least for now.

"I've been just kinda chillin'," he tells MTV News. "I mean, I'm Chris Brown. I'm not saying it like that, but it's just, like, girls are gonna be around."

Well, if you don't say so yourself!

Very Studious

"I love women. But I would say I've just been chillin'. I haven't really been trying to get into a relationship or trying to date anybody right now."

"I've just kinda been working on me. Just getting me straight."

After recent interviews in which Rihanna described the assault, Brown says he respects her right to speak out, but wishes she'd kept it private.

While the couple reunited briefly after the February incident, they have been ordered by the court to maintain their distance for five years.

As for his new "Crawl" video, it was inspired in part by Rihanna:

"So being able to express the feelings, it was like, probably one of the best [records I've done]," he said. "But it was more than me trying to do a record that meant crawl to love, crawl back to love - meaning from your negative situations."

Would you date Chris Brown?

Heck yeah!
I'd think about it.
Are you kidding me?!

Chris Brown vs. Rihanna: Battle of the Videos

Rihanna and Chris Brown debuted their new music videos over the weekend - their first since the highly publicized incident last February in which he kicked her a$$.

In large part because of that, the videos are wide open to interpretation and reading between the lines ... and neither are that good, in our opinion. But you tell us.

Below, Rihanna's first single from her new album, "Russian Roulette" portrays her bouncing around in a padded cell, facing off with a guy offering her a loaded gun.

Wonder what that represents? Check it out here:

As for Chris Brown's new release? Well, let's just say that "Crawl" feels more like a PR move than a music video. Cassie cast to play Chris' "ex" in the video? Hmm.

Does it work for Team Chris? You'll have to see and judge for yourself. Follow the jump to check out Chris' effort and vote on which comeback video is best ...

Female Fan to Chris Brown: "You F*%king Beater!"

DUIs. Trips to rehab. Gun possession. Embezzlement. Americans are a forgiving people, willing to dole out second chances to people committing myriad offenses.

Beating the living crap out of a petite woman, and one of the most popular singers in the world, no less? That's a much tougher sell, Chris Brown is learning fast.

Brown, who pleaded guilty to assaulting Rihanna earlier this year, and whose vicious attack was just rehashed in her 20/20 interview, heard all about it last night.

Brown was minding his own business, posing with fans at Footaction in NYC, when he became the target of a nasty, profane verbal attack - right in his face!

Beater

Out of nowhere, a woman in the crowd got close to him and began shouting, "f*%king beater" and "I hope someone beats the f*%king crap out of you!"

Chris did the right thing, smiling and walking away, despite one of his classy fans encouraging him to "handle that $h!t, Chris!" and "Smack that b!tch up."

Fortunately for all involved, this time he did not.

Chris Brown Reacts to Rihanna 20/20 interview

Chris Brown has heard what Rihanna has to say about the beating he savagely administered in February – and he wishes she had just kept quiet about it.

Brown supports her right to tell her side of the story, but at the same time is not pleased with Rihanna's interview on Good Morning America and 20/20.

Chris said in a statement to MTV:

"I am extremely sorry for what I did, and accept accountability for my actions. At this point, I am taking the proper steps to grow from my mistakes."

"I only hope that others in similar situations can learn from our experience as well. Abuse of any kind is always wrong. The rest I leave it up to God."

"I maintain my position that all the details should remain a private matter between us," he added. "I do appreciate her support and wish her the best."

Chris Brown Shirtless (Almost)

While not denying or hiding from the assault that left his girlfriend battered and bruised, Chris Brown nevertheless wishes the details would remain private.

In a 20/20 interview Friday, Rihanna offered a graphic account of the February 7 fight with her then-boyfriend Brown, describing what she calls the terrifying blankness, a soulless void that seemed to come over him as he assaulted her.

"He was clearly blacked-out," she says. "There was no person when I looked at him."

Brown, who like Rihanna is releasing a new album in the near future (Graffiti drops December 8) declined to respond to his ex's specific comments.

Rihanna Describes Chris Brown Assault in Her Own Words, Graphic Detail

Yesterday on Good Morning America, Rihanna had a message for her fellow women who have suffered domestic abuse at the hands of their men: eff love!

She meant that in the sense that you can't take a man back just because you love him, as she did with Chris Brown. You have to stand up for yourself.

Today, in the second part of her interview with Diane Sawyer, Rihanna described, for the first time in her own words, just how bad Brown's attack was.

While it was all happening, Brown "had no soul in his eyes," she said.

We've read the police reports and seen the graphic, post-beating pics, but to hear Rihanna recount the events of the evening in detail is still shocking.

She says Chris really threatened to kill Rihanna for calling her assistant that night, and while she doesn't believe he ever follow through with that scare tactic, the physical abuse she recounts was both very real and deeply upsetting.

Rihanna, Diane Sawyer

Rihanna in her interview with Diane Sawyer for GMA and 20/20.

"I fended him off with my feet from one ... side of the car, but ... it was not like, it was not like a fight with each other. I just ... wanted it to stop," she said.

"I was bleeding. I was swollen in my face. So there was no way of me getting home, except for, my next option was to get out of the car and walk ... start walking in a gown, in a bloody face? So I really don't know what my plan was."

"I didn't have a plan. That whole night was not part of my plan."

By the time the police came, she was already "battered" and when asked what caused the fight initially, she would only say that her boyfriend lied to her:

"I caught him in a lie. I was being more annoyed at that point in our relationship he had to lie about something so stupid, I couldn't take that he kept lying to me. And he couldn't take that I wouldn't drop it. And ... it was ugly."

Peeps Want to See Chris Brown in Jail

In another leaked quote from Chris Brown: The Interview, airing on Friday on MTV News, the singer says he is “confused” about how the world sees him.

Nine months after he attacked ex-girlfriend Rihanna, Chris is worried about his public image as he and his former first love promote their new albums.

While he says fans “love me and support me,” Chris says the haters ”don’t want to see me do anything … they wanna see me kind of, basically in jail.”

For now, he's focused on the music. Chris releases his third album, Graffiti, on December 8 while Rihanna’s third album Rated R drops November 23.

Chris Brown Six-Pack

Look at the abs on Chris Brown! Dude clearly works out and keeps his body in great shape. So you know getting slugged in the face by him must have really hurt.

Chris Brown Graffitis Up New Album Cover

The cover art for Chris Brown’s new album, Graffiti, has officially been released. The album is scheduled to come out on December 15, less than six weeks away.

We are trying to figure out of the cartoon characters in the bottom right are really part of the album cover or not. They seem out of place. Is that the point?

This is the only copy of the cover we could find, so it's possible someone just added them (a little photoshop graffiti, if you will) as a joke. If so, nice effort!

Chris just released the second single from his new album, “Crawl.” The video will reportedly feature none other than R&B star Cassie. Shaved head and all.

Rihanna on Chris Brown: He Was My First Love

Nine months after she was assaulted by then-boyfriend Chris Brown, Rihanna is finally breaking her silence about the infamous night that left her bruised and bloodied.

What made the incident hardest on Rihanna was the fact that Brown had held such a special place in her heart: "He was definitely my first big love," the star admits.

That's gotta hurt, Negus Sealy.

In the interview with Diane Sawyer, airing on Good Morning America Thursday and 20/20 Friday, she warns, "This can happen to me, it can happen to anyone."

AggressionRihanna and Diane Sawyer

Rihanna opens up to Diane Sawyer about Chris Brown.

Both singers have worked to move on since that awful night, with Brown serving his community labor sentence in Virginia and working on his new album, Graffiti.

That record drops December 15. Rihanna is shaking things up her fourth album, Rated R, on November 23. Her latest single, "Wait Your Turn" debuted Monday.

What else will she have to say about her lover-turned-attacker when the full interview airs later in the week? We'll have the latest for you as soon as we know.

Rihanna to Break Silence on Chris Brown

Speaking about Chris Brown for the first time since he assaulted her back in February, Rihanna will break her silence later this week in a two-part interview with ABC's Good Morning America (Thursday) and 20/20 (Friday).

The 21-year-old star finally "tells her story" about what happened that night and how the former lovers have responded since then, according to a network promo.

Brown, who was sentenced to five years of probation, 180 days of community labor and a year of domestic violence classes, has publicly apologized repeatedly.

Chris also blatantly pined for Rihanna on Twitter and YouTube quite recently.

Rihanna, whose new song, "Wait Your Turn," dropped today, has been silent.

The interview kicks off a PR tour for her highly anticipated fourth album, Rated R, which comes out November 23. It will be interesting to hear what she says.

Specifically, does she blame herself at all for the incident, in which Brown beat, choked and threatened her in a fit of rage - and does she forgive what he did?

Chris and Rihanna

Before that fateful evening in February, Rihanna and Chris Brown might have been the hottest couple in music. Now they're just a couple of hotheads in music.
