Richard Jefferson Calls Time Out, Bails on Wedding to Kesha Ni'Cole Nichols
NBA star Richard Jefferson was set to marry fiancee Kesha Ni'Cole Nichols but apparently "changed his mind" less than 12 hours before their lavish wedding.
No one told the paparazzi or fans, or more importantly the guests who began showing up in Manhattan to witness the star's nuptials. Always a classy move.
Everything was going according to plan as yet another beautiful ($2 million) celebrity wedding was about to take place. But the groom had other ideas.
The New York Post says Jefferson got "cold feet" last week, then actually left Kesha Ni'Cole Nichols standing alone at the altar. Talk about a traveling violation!
Nichols, who was surprised, but not "altogether shocked," according to reports, stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel were the wedding was supposed to be held anyway, upgrading herself to a suite on the 45th floor. Hey, might as well.
The new member of the San Antonio Spurs and former New Jersey Nets star was recently featured in Sports Illustrated along with the former Nets dancer:

That photo is of Richard and Teresa Lourenco, a model he was dating about 5 years ago. She was a SI swimsuit model and this photo was in SI.

I knew right before my wedding that I did NOT want to marry the guy I was going to walk down the aisle with. I spoke my concerns to my mom but she said I had wedding day jitters. I knew better because it wasn't the first trip but I let her talk me into marrying him. It was the worst mistake I ever made. I wanted to get on a bus back home during our honeymoon. I say get out whenever you know it's not right, even 1 second before the ceremony if need be. Better the embarrassment than the DIVORCE!!!

That isn't even Kesha - not sure of her name, but that is a girl who was in a Sports Illustrated photo with him ... about FIVE YEARS AGO....
