With Jon Gosselin possibly out spanking Deanna Hummel, grating wife Kate was seen giving that treatment to daughter Leah in an entirely different manner.
In Touch reports that on June 13 at around 11 a.m., the mother of eight out front of her house and spanked one of her kids in plain view of the paparazzi.
Man, between this and her denying Mady water last week, incidents of Kate Gosselin's terrible parenting keep piling up. Woman catch a break these days.
The incident took place while Kate Gosselin was outside on an otherwise normal day (for her), watching the kids play. A witness reports that at some point, one of the sextuplets, Leah Gosselin, started blowing a whistle loudly.
Probably for help.
Kate was on the phone at the time, so she told her to stop. Leah just went and whistled again and boy, does she regret it after Kate went Chris Brown on her.
Well, maybe that's extreme. But Kate Gosselin still spanked Leah a couple of times, raising eyebrows among those (un)fortunate enough to be there watching.
The witness went on to say:
“The girl was screaming and crying. Kate just pushed her away and walked off with her coffee. Her older sisters were trying to make Leah feel better.”
That's harsh stuff, Kate. And people wonder why Jon is so unhappy.

I don't think blowing a whistle and disrupting mommy warrants a beating. MOST parents would agree. The ONLY time a spanking is warranted would be to stop a dangerous action be it to themselves or someone else. What was the lesson of this beating??? Leave mom alone?

So what she spanked her child. It's not as if she BEAT the child to death. Isn't time to leave the Gosselins alone? They have problems just like everyone else.

It’s a spanking! how many of you have never been spanked ever as a child. I don’t watch the show nor do I care much for family publicity but come on! She’s going to get criticized for a spanking?! More kid’s in this world need to be spanked or should have been spanked and maybe, just maybe, there wouldn’t be so many friggin’ rude and completely disrespectful kids around. Nothing wrong with a loving hand to the butt every once in a while. Sorry, it’s one thing to beat your kids, but a simple spanking is a whole different story.

It was probably in poor taste for Kate to do that in front of the paparazzi, but I think it's a little extreme to say, "the stress of kate's marriage is now hurting her kids" physically, at least. Emotionally, well, that's a different story.

Spanking and Beating are two very different things. I was SPANKED as a child and never once did I feel my parents did it out of anger or ill feeling towards me.

People really need to get a grip. So what, she spanked the girl. She did not beat her. And for that matter, what mother hasn't had a day when she was on the phone with a kid screaming and lost her temper at least a little bit. The woman is going through some rough times, and granted some of it is self-induced drama, but geez, give her a break.

Omg people can we get a life all she did was spank her child she did not beat the crap out of her. Kids do need a spanking every now and then when they are not listening. Get a Grip she cant help it that a photo was taking all she was doing was spanking her. Look how many kids are out on the streets killing people and drugs and everything c'mon leave her alone. Everyone Has had a spanking before i did not know there was a law for spanking your child when they are out of wack. Get A Grip People !!!!!!!!!!!
