Jarret Stoll Dumps Rachel Hunter, Calls Off Wedding
Rachel Hunter just got dumped. By a random hockey player.
The 39-year-old ex-wife of Rod Stewart was putting the finishing touches on her August 14 wedding when her fiancé, 27-year-old Jarrett Stoll, called it off.
The supermodel's rep confirmed to the British newspaper that the nuptials were canceled, and that Jarret failed to give her a reason behind the cancellation.
The couple bought a £2.2-million house in Hermosa Beach, California, last year and were hoping to create a child together soon after they tied the knot.
A friend of the model said: '"he is absolutely devastated. Everything was in place for their wedding - she had the venue, the designer dress, the guest list."
"[Rachel Hunter] has absolutely no idea why Jarret has done this. It sounds like it could be a classic case of cold feet. He is a fair bit younger than her.'"
The L.A. Kings center popped the question in August after two years of dating. But apparently he had enough of lining up on top of that particular crease.
Jarett Stoll is the second hockey player Hunter has dated. Her former beau, Sean Avery, famously wound up suspended for publicly mocking his exes.
Specifically, he referred to Elisha Cuthbert as his sloppy seconds before a game against the team her new beau, Dion Phaneuf, plays for. A class act.

I have one problem with Rachel Hunter. Actually two. I live in LA ad have seen her often and she is very stuck up, a has been. She has also made comments about how no woman who"s had two kids should keep baby weight on and wow, look at you now Rachel. Your blown up and over-weight and you have two kids............Gee............(she was arrogantly dating Rod Stewart when she made these remarks) while probably having the fat sucked out and surgury with his millions, private chefs, no real job - it's really arrogant beyond to talk like this when your rich and famous.

I have been following your life for a while now as a fellow kiwi, and think and know you can take a kiwi girl our of NZ but you can't take the kiwi out of the girl, it's sad that your dream wedding was halted, but it may have been like the scene in sex in the city movie - no one knows???? I hope you and Jarred work things out as you look like a lovely loving couple and he was really romantic to propose to you when you came home to new Zealand. We all know that people get jealous and would say things that hurt - but you are a wonderful fun loving kiwi girl and wonderful mother!!!! Jarred is an awesome guy too - so hopefully in time you guys can work it out and prob. best to elope away from the paparazzi - they are very hurtful some time and I hope you are left in peace in LA to enjoy your family. I live near Jarret's hometown in Canada. I know Jarret's brother personally....she cheated on him....thats why he ended it....

There are some really harsh and spiteful comments here.
I am no fan of Rachel (I don't really care), but why get engaged to her if he had no intention to follow through. Even if he changed his mind, he should have handled this in a much more mature manner. He just showed what a sissy he is and an immature git, probably still a mama's boy. Rachel is better of without him, obviously.

That was ten years ago.
She's a puffed up blow hard who loved herself far too much. Hard bitten, overweight,
and self centered.

Jarett you are entitled to make the decision you have, it is your life. But you need to grow some balls and front up to your ex as to why.
