It’s been nearly a month since Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney sparked both shock and outrage by rekindling their romance from on national TV - at the expense of Jason’s jilted fiancée from The Bachelor season finale, Melissa Rycroft.
So how are Jason and Molly doing now?
“Molly and I are happy,” Jason says.
In a remarkable move, the Bachelor couple spent a few days this month getting to know each other without cameras. Novel concept. In one of the few chances they have had to see each other, Jason flew to Milwaukee to visit Molly at her home.
They kept busy meeting her friends for drinks (“They gave him the stamp of approval!” says Molly), taking romantic strolls along Lake Michigan, and “grilling out.”
“I’ve learned new terminology,” Jason Mesnick says, laughing at the Midwestern word for barbecuing. “It’s normal, right, to say ‘grilling out’?” Molly insists with a laugh as the two snuggled up on a sofa in Molly’s living room.
Molly Malaney has been doing some cooking for Jason, who loves her signature recipe for Cheesy Chicken. And Jason has been trying to tempt Molly, the meat-and-potatoes all-American girl from Michigan, to try some new foods at restaurants.
“She really has a hard time trying new things,” he says.
Then again, the single dad says he has a hard time keeping to a schedule, which is something Molly is great at. So the relationship is working.
“We pull each other in the right direction,” Jason says.
While Melissa Rycroft cuts a rug on Dancing with the Stars, Jason and Molly are staying low key and getting to know each other. But it's not easy.
The biggest challenge? Distance. Molly hasn’t had a chance to fly to Seattle - she used up most of her vacation days around the time of The Bachelor finale - which also means she hasn’t spent any time with Jason’s 4-year-old son, Ty.
But she's about to put a stop to that.
“I’m headed out to Seattle in a couple of weeks,” she said. “I’m excited to just spend some time with Ty outside of the cameras and production.”

Give us all a break Jason it is now almost April and we know you aren't with Molly any longer. She doesn't want to move to Seattle due to her "job" which I was afraid of all along. I thought Ty was the general reason you were on the show. Molly is so history with you and it hasn't been released to the public that is another reason we know. Remember Jesse and Deanna, no word nothing. When the other bachelors dumped their ladies we heard about it. Funny Deanna dumped 3 times and you are catching up to her. Why don't you go back to her you were made for one another. And by the way, anyone can have Molly's eyes with contacts, they come in that color and I think hers were because she hardly blinked and a contact wearer for so many years you can tell! She got you there. Ever see her with them off and her glasses on? Does she wear long t-shirts to bed? Hmmm.

Jason, you are a joke... as well as your molly. A show on how to find LOVE. keep and get married!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS?????? from what I can tell, you should be the last person to give advises to people on LOVE and marry it... you go from bad to worst... poor Ty. Im glad I didnt have a father figure like you. ARE YOU SURE YOU ARE NOT GAY?

I wish Jason and Molly the best. He has gotten enough flack for being honest about his feelings. It didn't work, so why should he have pretended, and gone on with a lie. Mellisa is getting her share of kudos out of the whole unfortunate situation, which she too evidently realized was factual, after the show ended and they were on their own. People shouldn't be so vindictive.

Hi there what will happen if Ty don't like you Molly and he wants Melissa, what will you do and how will you fix that problem Jason you are a fool Melissa has made a name for herself and I think she could have helped you oh well your lost and her gain I figure you was going to to pull this kind of trick you gave it away in the tent date. if Molly wouldn't have came back in your clothes that wouldn't have given it away and Melissa wasn't crying for nothing you hurt her.So how could she have a relationship with you.
