Melissa Rycroft is feeling blue at the moment. But for a very exciting reason.

The former The Bachelor contestant is pregnant with a boy!

Rycroft, husband Tye Strickland and daughter Ava confirmed this news via an adorable photo on Instagram and an interview wit Us Weekly.

Melissa Rycroft and Family

"Tye, he's such a guy's guy, so personally I'm really happy he gets to do all his boy stuff," Rycroft tells the magazine of her second child. "It's so funny the first thing out of his mouth was, 'I feel so much responsibility now!' I was like, 'Um have you not felt it the past two and a half years?'

"I guess there's something to be said about the same sex parent taking the bulk of [responsibility]."

Melissa Rycroft and her husband Tye Strickland are expecting their second child together! She confirmed the news this morning on Good Morning America.

The Bachelor star, 30, works as a correspondent for GMA after winning the ABC show (only to be dumped for the runner-up), and going Dancing With the Stars.

She's due next spring. The baby-to-be will join sister Ava, Melissa Rycroft Strickland's 2-year-old daughter. The couple tied the knot in December 2009.

Rycroft joked this year that Ava isn't super-keen on the idea of having a little brother or sister. Guess she'll have to rethink that whether she likes it or not!

"We're getting close now [to having another child]," she said. "When we ask Ava [if she wants a sibling], she says she doesn't want to share. She's so spoiled!"

Congratulations to the whole family. Even you, Ava!

“My mind went blank for a minute,” Melissa Rycroft told reporters after the show as to what she was thinking when host Tom Bergeron announced her as the winner.

“When we were standing there with Shawn and Derek (Hough) I assumed it’d be them. After I realized it was our names, I said, ‘Oh, my God! How did this just happen?’”

Dancing with the Stars marked the 25th anniversary of Michael Jackson's Bad with MJ-themed routines, as well as a more unusual set of dances last night.

First, the pairs performed mixed-up routines, blending uncommon styles with unusual themes. Then, they celebrated Bad with traditional ballroom numbers.

Case in point? Melissa Rycroft's Argentine Tango with Tony Dovolani, earning them a perfect 30:

Following last night's somewhat surprising Dancing With the Stars results, Gilles Marini and Kirstie Alley are out and only five All-Stars remain in the hunt.

Two Olympians. One NFL great. One soap opera staple. One winner of The Bachelor who got dumped for the runner-up. It's a diverse and talented field!

  • Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough
  • Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff
  • Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy

Melissa Rycroft has dominated in the past two weeks, but Apolo Ohno, Emmitt Smith, Shawn Johnson and Kelly Monaco are all forces to be reckoned with.

It's DWTS: All-Stars, after all. Only the creme de le creme came to play this fall ... well, and Bristol Palin. Anyway, with five dancers left, who's your pick?

The stakes were higher than ever on Dancing With the Stars this week ... and patriotic!

The seven remaining All-Stars face a double-elimination tonight, after a week of safety.

Each took the floor to perform a dance inspired by military aspects in honor of Veteran's Day, then returned with an additional ballroom professional for a trio.

Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani earned a perfect 30 BOTH times! U-S-A! U-S-A!

As for the rest of the field? There were plenty of standout efforts. Let's see ...
