Greg Norman's golf career was marked as much by major championship heartbreak as it was by prolific top-five finishes and earnings.
Yesterday should go a long way towards healing that broken heart.
It's no green jacket, but Norman and Chris Evert, a 53-year-old tennis legend, were married Saturday in a sunset ceremony in the Bahamas.
On the same day that Ruben Studdard married Surata Zuri McCants, the athletic pair, both 53, exchanged vows in front of 140 family and friends, including Today host Matt Lauer and singer-songwriter Corey Hart.
Chris Evert and Greg Norman wed on Saturday in the Bahamas.
Evert's youngest son Colton, 12, served as ring bearer, and sons Nick, 14, and Alex, 16, walked her down the aisle. Also present were Greg Norman's daughter Morgan, 23, and son Gregory Jr., 21, who served as best man.
The wedding weekend kicked off on Friday with, natch, a golf and tennis tournament for guests. Wines from Greg Norman Estates (not half bad) were served at both the Friday rehearsal dinner and Saturday's reception.
Chris Evert and Greg Norman got engaged December 9 while traveling in South Africa. This is the second marriage for both.

I think this is Chris Evert's third marriage.

Chris Evert was married twice prior to this. John Lloyd and Andy Mill.

Seems like Ms. Evert doesn't know how to be Alone for awhile, perhaps to fill herself up before turning to another.

I feel for Norman's ex, Laura. She is still bitter. It WAS a betrayal to both exes.

They both dumped their current spouse for something new. Any bets on how long before history repeats itself?

Chris seems to run on a ten year cycle, so Greg, enjoy the ten years. What a shame for two people to hurt so many innocent people. She has become the slut and home wrecker, not the tennis darling she once was. What a shame celebrity types have no substance, we thought you were different Chris.

I was just at the US Senior Open where I stood next to Chris Evert when Greg Norman walked over to her from the fairway to check on her and held her hand sweetly. Some may think leaving bad marriages for the ones they love is a bad thing.....that doesn't make sense. I am inspired by their love at this stage in their life and only hope I am as lucky one day. I am 58 and not giving up.

They probably have more in common than their spouses, They were both driven and they are like two peas in a pod. It
just says love can come at any age??
