Adele is one of the greatest singers in music history. That's why getting tickets for her shows is no easy task.
It happens all the time with vocal powerhouses.
People find themselves on ticket websites for hours on end trying to ensure they get a glimpse of their favorite star.
For Adele, you never hear of her canceling shows. She takes her career very seriously and has always had a humble approach to her fans.
She knows people pay good money to witness her sing songs for them. She doesn't like people who waste the opportunity.
Remember the time she scolded a fan for filming at her gig? Initially, it appeared the person was filming from a camera phone, but then it emerged the person had full filming equipment with them.
Adele made comments about the people outside who didn't get tickets for the show.
You can only imagine how heartbreaking it must be for Adele to have to cancel a show.
She had to do that on Wednesday, August 17.
She was scheduled to perform in Phoenix, Arizona, but her illness got the better of her.
The singing sensation took to Twitter to release an apology to the people who made plans to see her.
It was great she took time away from getting herself better to let fans know she was sorry.
Her apology went down a treat on social media because she went makeup free to address her fans.
"I can't do my show tonight, my second show here," she said.
"I'm really, really sorry."
"My cold has gotten the better of me, and as you can hear, even if I did the show it wouldn't be very good."
"I'm really, really, really sorry to let anyone down."
Adele said sorry a lot throughout the video as she promised to reschedule the show.
