Between Channing Tatum's admission of alcoholism and a never-ending stream of glassy-eyed Lindsay Lohan party photos emerging from the actress' time in London, we thought it would be a good time to run down a list of celebs who have struggled with excessive drinking.
Some of the stars on this list consider themselves alcoholics, but have sobered up and now speak openly about their years of heavy boozing as a cautionary tale.
Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley is going public regarding his nearly fatal battle with alcoholism in a shocking blog post the 34-year-old titled, "Rock Bottom."
The title is apt.
Deryck Whibley revealed that he took his ex-wife Avril Lavigne's last name when they wed in 2006, and had kept it until this year, despite their 2009 divorce.
The Sum 41 singer filed a petition to legally drop his ex-wife's last name, which he had adopted as one of his own after the pair tied the knot in 2006.

"She dumped him and told him she was leaving him. She wants to move on," a source confirms to Us Weekly, adding that Lavigne, 25, recently forced the Sum 41 "rocker" outta their $9.5 million, 12,000-square-foot estate in L.A.'s Bel Air.
We know Deryck Whibley and Avril Lavigne are married and all. But upon seeing the following photo of the former fondling the latter's breasts, we had two reactions:

Rocker Avril Lavigne is pregnant, according to a Canadian celebrity gossip site. The 23-year-old wild child is reportedly expecting in August.
The Hollywood Gossip has learned that singer Avril Lavigne and her husband, Sum 41 frontman / wannabe tough guy Deryck Whibley, have bought a Bel-Air home for $9.5 million.
The previous owners? Shanna Moakler and Travis Barker.
Whether or not marriage has changed Avril Lavigne, it has changed her husband.
"I'm the best thing that's ever happened to him," Lavigne says in the April issue of Jane.
