Big news out of the world of Teen Mom OG today.
Multiple sources are now confirming that Mackenzie Standifer has welcomed a son.
And she did so without the support of husband Ryan Edwards, who was not present in the delivery room.
Here’s what we know about the situation thus far:
A New Addition
Insiders tell Radar Online that Mackenzie welcomed Jagger Ryan Edwards on Tuesday, October 9.
Without a Hitch
One source has confirmed that Mackenzie did not undergo a C-section. Jagger reportedly weighs in at 7 pounds, 1 ounce.
Keeping a Low Profile
Mackenzie and Ryan were both let go from Teen Mom OG recently, and they’ve been largely absent from social media as of late.
Sharing the News
Mackenzie confirmed that her due date was in October before going radio silent. She has not publicly confirmed news of the birth, but will reportedly do so before the week is out.
The Ryan Question
Edwards, of course, has endured a slew of legal troubles and addiction issues in recent months, and it was unclear if he would be present for the birth of his second child.
The No-Show
Sources have now confirmed that Ryan was not in the delivery room when little Jagger entered the world. But the situation is not as sad as it initially sounds …
Painful Progress
We’re sure Ryan isn’t happy that he missed the birth of his son, but the reason for his absence will hopefully yield longterm benefits for both him and his family.

Ryan has checked into a rehab facility in Alabama in order to help him beat the opioid addiction that has caused him so much heartache.

Ryan has been arrested on drug-related charges three times in the past 18 months. This is his second stint in rehab.

He first checked into treatment shortly after marrying Standifer. Teen Mom OG fans were appalled by the sight of Ryan losing consciousness while driving to the wedding.
Off the Wagon
Ryan’s sobriety didn’t last long, and he was arrested with heroin and several hypodermic needles not long after he completed treatment.
Out of Control
Ryan’s behavior often resulted in erratic behavior, and at one point, he allegedly threatened to murder the husband of his child’s mother, Maci Bookout.
Rock Bottom
Shortly thereafter, Maci obtained a restraining order that prevented Ryan from contacting his son, Bentley.
Kicked to the Curb
It was around that time that Ryan and Mackenzie were both fired from Teen Mom OG, reportedly at Maci’s behest.
The Right Decision
No one knows if it was Ryan’s legal troubles, the loss of his job, or the impending birth of his son that prompted him to seek treatment — but the important thing is, he did it.
Standifer By Her Man
Mackenzie recently moved out of the rental home she was sharing with Ryan and back into her parents’ home, prompting rumors that the couple had called it quits.

No one knows exactly when Ryan will complete treatment and finally meet his son, but sources say he’s been encouraged to remain in rehab as long as he needs to.
