The new season of The Kardashians is here!
Season 2 premiered on Hulu on Thursday, September 22.
Khloe Kardashian took center stage for the episode for a very good reason.
She was grappling with the aftermath of Tristan’s betrayal.
She was harboring, at the time, a secret — that she and Tristan were expecting Baby #2.
And then she welcomed Baby #2.
The camera, in the steady hand of Kim Kardashian, was there to capture the delivery.

“Time is ticking and I keep burying my head in the sand”
Barely holding back tears, Khloe opens up about how she learned about Tristan’s new baby just days after they did an embryo transfer into a gestational carrier. She is going through it. We do not have to understand her past choices to feel for her in this agonizing moment.
Everyone knows
At this point, Khloe knows that this dark cloud has been haunting her for months. Talking with Kylie about her own adjustments as a mother of two obviously hits close to home for Khloe. To the cameras, she emphasizes that the embryo transfer was days before Thanksgiving, while the Tristan baby revelation was the first week of December. Khloe did not do this after the fact. It really speaks to the depths of his callous betrayal. Still, Kylie is very encouraging, and hopes that everything will “make sense,” in a cosmic sense, when she meets Baby #2.
Everybody hates Tristan
Kris, Kylie, Kim, and Kendall sat down for a family meeting to discuss Khloe’s state of mind. She is, they observed, very good at “shutting off.” She is coping with this bad situation, but not necessarily processing those feelings in a healthy way just yet. Meanwhile, even though they are saying harsh things about Tristan and his intentions, it is clear that they would be even harsher if cameras were not rolling. Kris usually adores the fathers of her grandchildren, but there is an edge to the way that she talks about Tristan that we rarely hear from her.
“We have to just start shifting the energy”
Khloe is so private about Baby #2 right now that she’s unwilling to buy baby furniture — Kylie has offered to order some and keep it for her until she’s ready to share. Khloe does not want to celebrate anything. So, her family (including Kim, whose confessional look is “spy thriller femme fatale who is actually a red herring for the real traitor”) wants to adjust her mindset with a private celebration.
True knows that she’s getting a baby brother
Obviously, True does not really understand the drama and scandal. She is excitedly sharing the baby news with people. That is very normal for a preschool aged child. Khloe notes that True knows more or less what to expect from a baby sibling, since her cousin Stormi has one. Meanwhile, Khloe is reflecting upon how Tristan knew about his new child by July 2 — so long before they decided to expand their family. Khloe is still hung up on her desire for a picture-perfect nuclear family. This has always been part of her baggage.
“It’s such a blessing to all of us”
Kris Jenner tells Khloe how happy they are for her. She knows how much her daughter is hurting, but she wants her to be able to enjoy that she’s having a child. This is, after all, supposed to be one of the happiest times in her life. She encourages her to let her throw her a party. This conversation goes down in Kris’ Beverly Hills apartment, which she apparently uses almost exclusively for wrapping gifts. Hard to laugh with her over forgetting that she owns a high end condo when there is an ongoing, agonizing housing crisis.
Khloe has a delivery to plan
No, she’s not pregnant, but she has to set things up for her gestational carrier to deliver her son. She has never done this, but Kim has, so she goes to her sister for advice. Unfortunately, logistics are not the only concern. Khloe isn’t feeling the physical side of pregnancy. And she’s not talking with a partner about planning for this child to be in their lives, because she and Tristan are over. Kim counsels her to take “baby steps.” Cute pun.
Khloe gets her baby shower
Yes, it was Kris’ dream, but Khloe agreed to it. Kim stands up and delivers a tearful toast about how happy she is for her. Khloe is still burying her feelings about a lot of this. Kim clearly is not. Meanwhile, everyone continues to suggest T-names for Khloe’s soon-to-be son.
The baby came early
Kim is Khloe’s ride to the hospital, even though Khloe is not the one who is in labor. Kim also films the entire thing.
Khloe of course watched the delivery
I’m sorry but those NAILS are so much. Totally support nails of any kind, but it’s just very funny to have full on talons when you’re about to hold a baby.
Awwww!
He looks like True, Kim points out. Immediately, he and Khloe begin to bond.

Production did step in later to film the aftermath, but Kim did a genuinely great job of filming. Kris, Kylie, and others all give tributes to this baby boy — Kris’ 12th grandbaby.
Khloe introduces her son to True
True has decided that his name is “Snowy,” it sounds like, which is amazing. Khloe says that this is not the case. But she likes True’s enthusiasm for her baby brother.
Eww
Khloe did invite Tristan in to see this baby. Despite his horrifying betrayal of Khloe, this is also his son. Mostly, Khloe seems to be hung up on the idea of letting him be part of the “story” of her son’s birth. “Why not? Let him come; I’ll never get this moment back.” She does not, however, reveal the baby’s name. Khloe jokingly calls him “No Name Johnson.”
