If you’re a fan of the family, then you know 2019 has been the year of the Duggar baby boom.
As such, recent episodes of Counting On have featured an endless barrage of births, pregnancies, and big announcements.
On last night’s episode, it was Kendra Caldwell’s turn.
She revealed to husband Joe Duggar that she was unexpectedly expecting, but being a Duggar, she couldn’t just tell him the big news verbally.

The Happy Couple
It’s been just over two years since Joe and Kendra tied the knot. And being Duggars, they got right down to the business of making babies.
Wasting No Time
Kendra got pregnant with her first child pretty much immediately after saying “I do,” and she welcomed her second, a girl named Addison Renee, just last week.
Behind the Times
But for reasons that aren’t entirely clear, it takes the better part of a year to produce an episode of Counting On, which means Kendra just found out about her second pregnancy on last night’s installment.
Folks, She’s Psyched
Kendra was ecstatic about the news, and she was almost excited about the prospect of informing Joe in a “fun” way.
Part of the Job
Why did she get so creative about the reveal? Well, there’s a very good reason for that …
Birthing Content
Sure, she could have just used her words like a normal person, but as a Duggar woman, Kendra has two jobs, making babies and figuring out ways to fill entire hour-long episodes.
The Plan
And so, Kendra decided to reveal the news via a sticker placed in the bottom of Joe’s ice cream bowl.
Come Again?
Kendra revealed that she’s confident he’ll see the sticker, as Joe always “licks his plate” when he’s finished eating, and — yeah, we really, really hope she’s speaking figuratively.
Quick Thinking
Kendra was almost forced to abort the mission after dropping Joe’s ice cream on the floor. Thankfully, the crisis was averted when she realized she still has, like, a whole gallon of ice cream sitting right there.
Slow on the Uptake
Joe initially thought the sticker was a twig or a piece of grass, but he eventually figured out what was going on.
Muted Response
He might not have been as ecstatic as Kendra had hoped, but he seemed relatively excited about welcoming yet another bundle of joy.
Deep Thoughts With Kendra
“Sometimes I have these moments where I’m just like, ‘Wow, I’m really an adult and a mom,’ and it’s just crazy because I still feel like I’m young,” Kendra tells the camera.
Young Guns
It’s times like this when we like to remind ourselves that the mother of two is only 20. Yes, 20 years old. As in, even if she were allowed to buy an alcoholic beverage under Duggar law, she wouldn’t be allowed to under federal law.
Teen Mom
But the Duggars take an approach to parenthood that’s been used by extremist religious sects for thousands of years — get ’em young before they know anything about life and have the wisdom necessary to determine if this is a smart decision.
Not to Be Outdone
Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald were also expecting during last night’s episode, and they also planned a ridiculous surprise for their loved ones.
Their First Girl
The Seewalds welcomed a baby girl named Ivy earlier this year, but when last night’s episode was filmed, they were still in the dark about the baby’s gender.
A Reveal With No Reveal
But the fact that they planned on being surprised on delivery day didn’t stop Jessa and Ben from hosting a gender reveal party and inviting her entire family.
Missing the Point
Yes, the Seewalds crammed their house full of guests and spent hours building suspense only to reveal that their gender will remain a secret for a few more months.

Also, a word of warning: Don’t watch this episode if you’re soon to become a parent yourself.

Jessa and Ben are asked what they’ve been forced to give up as parents, and their response is basically “everything.”

Jinger Duggar is also a mom, but it seems she’s a little better about taking time for herself.

On last night’s episode we saw Jinger enjoy a group workout session in LA with little Felicity by her side.

It wasn’t a church group, and Jinger didn’t work out in a floor-length skirt. This is the Duggar version of a modern woman, folks!

According to a preview, next week’s episode will see Jinger and Jeremy seeking a new apartment in LA. They’re really staying! Jim Bob must hate it — so, of course, we love it.
