Kailyn Lowry has dated many men.
We say this without a hint of judgment; it’s simply a fact.
The Teen Mom 2 star has been married once and has three babies by three different men.
But while Kailyn has open been very candid about these relationships, both their ups and their downs, we were shocked by something she said a new Q&A session on her official blog.
What bombshell did she drop about third baby daddy Chris Lopez?

He’s a Deadbeat Dad!
This is what Lowry said about Chris Lopez not long after her son Lux was born. She came down hard on him in March of 2018 for never actually be there for his child.
Instagram Isn’t Real Life
“Don’t be an Instagram parent.” This is what Kailyn wrote in response to Lopez sharing a photo online of Lux despite, in her view, rarely being around to care for him.
But That was Then
Of late, Lowry has said slightly more flattering things about Lopez. Heck, she allegedly wants to use his his sperm to get pregnant again, which means she can’t TOTALLY hate the guy.
Still, We Weren’t Prepared for This
In the Q&A we cited above, Lowry was asked the following question: “Out of all the obstacles in life you’ve overcome, which was the toughest? Why? How did you get through it?” She considered this inquiry and gave a lengthy response.
Well, There Was My First Huge Break-Up…
“When I think about everything I’ve been through, two things instantly come to mind,” Lowry said to open her response. “First was moving on from living with Jo and his family, and into an apartment alone with [first son] Isaac. The whole struggle of no longer being a “family” and understanding my feelings that went into all of those decisions was really tough.” Fair enough, right?
Kailyn Continued:
“I really struggled with the realization that the entire situation I was in, including my relationship with Jo, was not meant for me. I was so thankful that Jo’s family was there for me, but Jo and I weren’t meant for each other. Of course, even though I knew this, it was still hard to see him moving on. We were 18 years old with a child together, and I really didn’t know how to understand what I was feeling or properly cope with it.”
Okay, What About Obstacles #2?
This is the part that made us raise eyebrows all the way to the ceiling. “The second experience that comes to mind was feeling so incredibly alone during my pregnancy with Lux and being physically alone a lot of the time,” wrote Kailyn; which makes sense, considering she wasn’t with Lopez at the time of her pregnancy. They really just slept together a few times, we believe.
Bombshell… DROPPED!
Added Lowry, along these lines: “I believe Lux’s dad was my first true love… I know, weird, when I had two kids with two other people. But this is my life. This was my first REAL heartbreak, where I loved someone and was IN love with someone. And I felt so abandoned during such a vulnerable time.”
Excuse You?!?!?
Lowry and Lopez were never even boyfriend and girlfriend, at least based on how we interpreted their relationship. We could be wrong. But he hasn’t been in the picture since Kailyn announced her pregnancy. We can’t judge someone else’s feelings, but THIS was Kailyn’s first experience with love?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
She Knows How It Sounds
“Breaking up with Isaac and Lincoln’s dads was upsetting because I felt like my kids lost the family aspect that I craved so badly for them,” Lowry said by way of explanation, adding of Lopez: “But this was different… It’s so hard to explain the different feelings involved.”
While You Digest That Answer…
… consider a few others from this revealing Q&A. To wit: How is Kailyn’s relationship with Jo and Javi’s family members? “I talk to them if/when I see them and that’s the extent of my relationship with them. I appreciate everything they do for my sons and I’m glad my sons are able to grow up knowing them. There’s no reason for a close relationship between them and myself.”
Is She Straight or Bisexual?
Kailyn did date a woman named Dominque Potter for awhile. That’s her, pictured above with Kailyn; hence this rather personal question.
How Did Kailyn Respond?
As follows: “I’m just me. I don’t know why I need to explain my sexual preference to anyone. I don’t go around asking anyone what his or her sexual preference is, that’s for sure lol. I love who I love and that’s all there is to it”
How the Heck Does She Manage Three Kids By Herself?!?
“I definitely have good and bad days like most moms,” replied Kailyn. “I won’t say it’s easy, because it’s not. However, when I have things to get done out of the house, I just bring the kids with and do it. I literally had to hold Lux yesterday when I went to the lady doctor. The older two fight sometimes, but they are always willing to help with the baby even when I don’t ask and I appreciate them so much for that.”
Could This Really Be Her Last Season on Teen Mom 2?
This has been a rumor making the rounds, mostly based on Kailyn being sick of Briana DeJesus and all the cast in-fighting in general.
It Does Sound Like a Possibility
Responded Kailyn: “It would definitely be an adjustment since we are so used to the cameras being a major part of our lives, lol! But I got my degree in preparation for the day we are no longer on Teen Mom. I’m ready to explore other directions and jobs to provide for my kids.”
What are Her Plans for Her YouTube Channel, Kail and the Chaos?
If she does leave Teen Mom, Lowry has other ways in which she can be followed: “I would love to be able to continue sharing the happy and fun times you don’t get to see on Teen Mom with you guys! I didn’t realize how much work actually goes into a YouTube channel, LOL! We’re filming and editing when we can though. I’ll keep you guys updated!”

Do we see the REAL Kailyn Lowry each week? The reality star gave a thoughtful response here, starting like this: “I’m not a character on a show; I’m a real human being who makes mistakes. I have this crazy life where I have to go through things publicly and relive and cope with the things I’ve done and mistakes I made months… sometimes years before they air.”

“Please don”t be so harsh. I have definitely f-cked up more times than I can count and I’m the first one to admit it. I would give anyone the shirt off my back and not many people understand that about me… Some of those close to me even take advantage of this.”
