This week’s episode of Teen Mom 2 saw Kailyn Lowry celebrating the launch of her Pothead line of hair care products.
A giddy Kail was surrounded by friends, and on-again, off-again boyfriend Chris Lopez even made an appearance.
It was a nice change of pace from the drama and strife that usually make up Lowry’s storylines on the show.
Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that we’ll be seeing more of it in the near future.
So do producers prefer to focus on the negative, or is Kail’s life really that difficult?
Sadly, based on her latest interview, it seems it might be the latter.

The Most Hated?
In the past, Kail has described herself as the “most hated” member of the Teen Mom family.
Overstating Her Case?
That’s a bit of a reach, as Kail has some stiff competition for that title from the likes of Jenelle Evans and Farrah Abraham.
She’s Got a Point …
Still, we understand where Lowry is coming from on this one. After all, a quick search of her name on Twitter reveals a barrage of harsh criticism, some of which crosses the line into abuse.
Trouble at Every Turn
And it’s not as though Kail can simply logoff social media to get away from the drama — her daily life is loaded with conflict.
Constant Conflict
Whether it’s disputes with her three baby daddies or feuds with her Teen Mom 2 co-stars, Kail needs to be ready to do battle at a moment’s notice.
Setting the Record Straight
And now, she’s opening up on the effects of so many tumultuous relationships in what might be her most candid interview to date.
Emotional Trials
“I try to play off as this tough guy, but it is kind of emotional that I wasn’t able to make any of the relationships work with my kids’ dad,” she recently told E! News.
A Lonely Life
“A lot of the things I would want to do with a partner, I’m doing them alone. So it’s been an internal struggle for me for sure,” Lowry explained to the outlet.
Single Struggles
Kail says she sees herself remaining unattached for the foreseeable future, as she feels unable to trust anyone she comes in contact with.
Everybody’s Suspect
“I don’t date because, you know, I am on TV and I don’t trust people,” she explained. “I mean, even if you’re not on TV you can’t really trust anybody now.”
Priorities
“I just think I’m going through the motions of life right now and doing what I got to do and focusing on whatever I need to focus on and if [dating] happens, it happens,” she continued.
Yikes
That’s a depressing way to put it, but it sounds as though Lowry has decided to put her love life on the back burner in order to focus on her career and her family.
Water Under the Bridge?
As for the drama involving some of her castmates — namely, Jenelle Evans and Briana DeJesus — Kail says she hopes to put that all behind her, and the first step is being interviewed separately at next week’s reunion taping.
Learning From the Past
“I’m trying to rebuild my reputation and the things I’ve done in the past reunions so I don’t want that to happen again,” Lowry said, referring to the violent altercations at last year’s taping.
She Didn’t Start the Fire
Asked about the recent incident in which Jenelle set fire to the hair care products Kail sent her as a peace offering, Kailyn had this to say:
It Is What It Is
“I definitely have reached out to her both on text and on Twitter. I’ve reached out to Larry who is an executive producer and asked him if Jenelle is okay and there have been several times where I’ve reached out and to no avail. It is what it is.”
Not Stooping to Their Level
“They can say what they want,” Lowry added, referring to recent negative comments made by Jenelle and her mother, Barbara Evans. “At the end of the day, people are going to think what they want to think anyway.”
No Drama
“I don’t want the animosity or the drama or any of that,” Kail continued. “We’re all too old for this. I’m not in denial about my bad choices and stuff like that.
The Freedom of Self-Awareness
“I’m completely aware and I’m trying to pick up the pieces of the mess that I’ve created so I can hopefully move on as an adult and hopefully the viewers and the people who support me and follow me will see that,” she added.
Show of Support
Some of Kail’s saltier co-stars might not be so willing to let her grow and move on, but we’re sure her loyal fan base will lend her plenty of support.
