Farrah Abraham isn’t, like, a good person or anything.
It’s pretty much what she’s built her entire empire on.
Lots of girls become teen mothers, and sure, only a very small handful got their own reallity show on MTV.
But Farrah made herself memorable, even out of that small group, by being rude and obnoxious and awful.
She’s no longer on Teen Mom OG, of course, but she’s still out in the world, doing her thing and showing no emotional growth whatsoever.
And that last part, the part about no emotional growth?
That’s why she could be going to jail very, very soon.
LOCK HER UP
As you may remember, Farrah got arrested last summer after causing quite the scene at a hotel in Beverly Hills.
Setting the Scene
She and her daughter, Sophia, were staying at the hotel, and while Sophia was sleeping in their room upstairs, Farrah thought it would be a good idea to hang out in the lounge and cause a scene.
Makes Sense
She got into an argument with other hotel guests — several witnesses said that she seemed very intoxicated — and when a security guard came to handle the situation, she assaulted him.
Girl, Stop
She hit his face with her forearm, and then she grabbed his head in her hands and shook it, which, you know … you can’t do that.
Ugh
And then when police responded to arrest her, because of the assault, she threw out some “go f-ck yourselves” and “don’t you know who I am?!” nonsense. And, again, you can’t do that.
Good Riddance
So she spent the night in jail, and wasn’t released until the next afternoon. But that was just the beginning of this saga.
Sure, Farrah
In the days following her release, she told anyone who would listen about how innocent she was, about how she was being bullied and that she was targeted by the police because she’s a celebrity.
Riiiight
And sure, it didn’t make a whole lot of sense, but when has Farrah ever made sense?
Justice?
Finally, a few weeks after the arrest, she was charged with battery and resisting arrest.
A Solution
Luckily for her, she was offered a plea deal — instead of the maximum of 18 months in jail she could have gotten for those charges, she was offered a plea deal of three years of probation, along with community service and anger management classes.
Honey …
But because of who she is as a person, she turned down the plea deal. And for reasons we still don’t totally understand, she turned it down again at her next court date.
Wising Up?
Unfortunately, instead of just throwing her in jail and being done with it, she was given a third chance to take the plea deal in November, and she finally agreed.
Justice, Indeed
Everyone agreed to drop the battery charge, so she pleaded guilty to resisting arrest, and she was sentenced with two years of probation, five days of community service, and 12 hours of anger management.
Also Money
In addition to all of that, she was ordered to pay a fine.

Of course, she still insisted she didn’t do anything wrong — after her sentencing, she released a statement that read “In my eyes I’m not guilty as my property was still at the hotel and people were setting me up, withholding my phone and my car,”
What Next?
But, as we said, all of that happened in November. So where is she with everything now?

Well, friends, as it turns out, there’s a little bit of a problem.

According to a Los Angeles County D.A. spokesperson who spoke with Radar Online, “The restitution hearing was taken off calendar without prejudice and the defendant, through her attorney, submitted proof of completion of 50 hours of Community Service and Anger Management.”

“The only thing that remains is the payment of fines and fees.”
Money Trouble?
So if there was a restitution hearing scheduled, and if the only thing left for Farrah to do is to pay her fines and fees …

So Long, Teen Mom Money
Everybody knows that the ladies of Teen Mom make crazy money, but Farrah isn’t on Teen Mom anymore, so she’s not getting those MTV checks.

And while she did get a pretty penny for those sex tapes she made, it’s probably safe to say that money is long gone now.

At one point, she had a house in Austin, a house in L.A., and three stores in Austin, but all of those are gone.
Weird
Farrah and Sophia were living with Farrah’s dad for a while, but these days, they seem to spend most of their time traveling, staying in fance resorts that Farrah posts ads for on Instagram.
Ridiculous
And judging by the fat stack of cash she gave Sophia from the tooth fairy last weekend — and, you know, everything else, it really looks like she lives way beyond her means.
What a Mess
So what happens if she’s not able to pay her fines? Could she go to jail?
