Dancing with the Stars: 9 Most Shocking Eliminations

by at .

Yes, Heather Morris really has been given the boot from Dancing with the Stars.

And Twitter simply cannot believe it.

Was this the most difficult to comprehend elimination in Dancing with the Stars history? Probably.

As you can see below, though, there are a few contenders for that distinction...

1. Heather Morris and Maksim Chmerkovskiy

This one cut deep. The duo were the clear frontrunners of Dancing With the Stars Season 24, even achieving a perfect score during their final night on the show. It was one of the most shocking reality TV moments, like, ever, and for a good reason.

2. Kristin Cavallari and Mark Ballas

Even though they were nowhere near the bottom, Kristin and Mark were eliminated in Week 3 of Season 13. They scored 24 out of 30, while Chaz Bono managed a paltry 18 out of 30. Maybe the viewers assumed Kristin and Mark were safe. Still, it was quite the shock.

3. Shannen Doherty and Mark Ballas

Okay, Shannen Doherty did not perform well during her stint on Dancing With the Stars. 18 out of 30 is just not a great number, but it was far from the worst. Someone scored fewer votes and managed to advance further into the competition. If Twitter was as big back then as it is now, we're certain #JusticeForShannon would have been trending.

4. Sabrina Bryan and Mark Ballas

Sabrina and Mark Ballas emerged as the early frontrunners of their season together, but things went downhill in week 6 when they faltered. However, they still had the highest average going into the elimination. They were sent home and fans voted Sabrina into an All Stars season, but the same thing happened to her once again. Ouch.

5. Brandy Norwood and Maksim Chmerkovskiy

Viewers were not impressed when Brandy's reign was cut short at the semi-final of Season 11 in favor of keeping Bristol Palin. Palin had already turned heads because she kept being voted through the competition, despite not being as talented as the others.

6. Chynna Phillips and Tony Dovolani

Chynna and Tony turned in solid performances during the first three weeks of the competition. Their luck ran out in Week 4 when it appeared Chynna did not have her head in the game and she was sent packing. The viewer votes were not strong enough to pull her through.
