Let’s face it:
Cheyenne Floyd has been the most boring Teen Mom of all the Teen Mom OGs this season.
That’s not an insult. Heck, it’s nearly a compliment because it means her life has been relatively stable — which doesn’t exactly lead to significant storylines on a show such as this.
Most of Floyd’s initial run on the program has centered on her relationship with Cory Wharton and whether the two will get back together.
On stage at part two of the reunion special, Floyd doesn’t exactly answer this question. But she sort of does.

On stage, at least, as Cory and Cheyenne taped their segment of a reunion special that will air on 12/31/18 many weeks ago.

Yup. It sure is. He actually dissolves in tears early on while talking to Dr. Drew.
What Prompts the Waterworks?
Talk of his daughter with Cheyenne, a toddler named Ryder. Wharton opens up like never before on this episode.
What Do You Mean? What Does He Say?
“I mean, just from the time of meeting Ryder from day one, I have changed as a person,” Cory admits, as the tears flow and Floyd comforts her ex-lover.

Cory said this to a strong reaction from both those in attendance and from Cheyenne as well.

When you look at Ryder, who is now a toddler, you really understand why Cory gets so emotional when discussing fatherhood.

Yes, she tells Dr. Drew, if he were available and prepared for that.

“Yes, 100 percent,” he also told Dr. Drew.
The Waiting Game
“I don’t know how long I’ll wait, but… I’ll wait,” said on stage of Cory.
The Ball Is in Cory’s Court
Cheyenne gave her answer, but she also made it clear that she is not prepared to wait forever for Cory’s reply.
So, What’s Taking So Long?
All relationships are complicated, and Cheyenne and Cory’s is no different.

Right?!? Both sides say they want more kids with each other… and yet they are not together. WTH, guys?!?
What’s the History Here?
Ryder was born in April of 2017, but Cory was not even told he was the father until October of that year. He has been a steady influence in her life ever since.
Isn’t Cheyenne Dating Someone Else?
She had a boyfriend named Zach for most of this Teen Mom season, but it never seemed all that serious. There was no real doubt that she really wanted to be with Wharton.
Were These Two Ever a Couple?
No, actually. They just slept together. And that may be why they remain close to this day.
That’s a Good Thing
Floyd thinks they co-parent so well because they were never involved in a romantic relationship. “We never crossed that line to begin with,” she told a friend during lunch this season.

During that same conversation, Cheyenne characterized her relationship with Cory before they had Ryder, saying: “We were at that flirting, ‘Okay, let’s talk a little bit’ stage.â€Â
Cory is Dedicated… to Ryder at Least
“It’s been the best year of my life for many reasons but the number 1 reason has to be me becoming a father,” he recently wrote on Instagram.
That Is Really Sweet
That makes the idea of Cory and Cheyenne having another child together seem even more likely.
So… Now What?
An attempt at a romance and then some blowout fights? That must be what Teen Mom producers are hoping for at least.
Let’s Hope Not
Teen Mom OG ratings aren’t what they used to be, and we don’t think that ruining Cheyenne’s real life is going to give them the ratings boost they crave.
Cheyenne Has One Real Priority Right Now
That’s her child. She’s a mother, first and foremost. Which means that concerns like reality TV ratings are secondary at best.
Cheyenne Isn’t the Only Teen Mom Star
She has castmates, each of whom have their own story, and there’s plenty of drama.
Not Every Teen Mom’s Story Has to Be Miserable
Remember, some people tune in to Teen Mom because they actually want to see how someone’s life is going, not because they want to gloat as someone else’s life falls apart on television. Just look at how much people love Chelsea Houska.

A lot of people were unsure of Cheyenne when her casting was announced, but do you know what? If she and Cory ever do get serious about baby #2, we’ll be rooting for them.
