By now, those of us who care about Teen Mom news have definitely heard all about what went down at the taping of the Teen Mom 2 reunion last weekend.
Briana DeJesus and Kailyn Lowry nearly came to blows after months and months of feuding, lots of cast members got upset over the violence and left the set …
Lots and lots of bad stuff, basically.
But according to a new report from The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, things were even crazier than we’ve heard so far.
Like, genuinely, truly crazy.
Oh, Ladies …
Where to start … OK, so Briana and Kailyn pretty much hate each other, right? They were never friends, but they started becoming enemies when Briana started getting romantic with Kailyn’s ex-husband, Javi.
Drama Drama Drama
The issue, at least in the beginning, was that Kailyn was upset that Briana was going on vacation with Javi and two of her sons and no one had told her about it. She also believed that Briana shouldn’t have gotten with Javi in the first place since they’re technically co-workers, and in doing so, Briana broke the sacred “girl code.”
What Girl Code?
Briana has said that no girl code was broken in this situation, because it’s not like she and Kailyn were ever friends, and they don’t even really work together, they just happen to appear on the same reality show. They really only ever interact once or twice a year when MTV gathers the whole cast together for specials.
Last Year’s Reunion
It was in August when this mess started, but in October at the taping of last season’s reunion, things came to a head. Briana and Javi still weren’t officially dating then, but she and Kailyn got into several arguments anyway.
… But Why?
At one point during filming, Briana and Kailyn were getting their hair and makeup done in the same room and they started discussing their issues, but things got tense real quick. Briana told Kail she was just “salty because Javi’s moved on,” but she denied it. Things got so heated that Briana felt the need to call Javi to come diffuse the situation.
Too Much
They weren’t able to work things out, obviously. Briana’s sister, Brittany, almost went after Kail, and one of Kail’s friends almost got into a fight with Briana and Brittany.
Official
Shortly after the reunion, Javi and Briana did make their relationship official, and unsurprisingly, that development didn’t do much to help the feud.
Petty
Kailyn mocked them many times, Briana gave official quotes about how Kailyn could suck her dick, and for the most part, Javi stayed out of it.
So Sad
The relationship only lasted a few months, and according to Briana, it ended because Javi wanted to get married and move her and her children up to Delaware to be with him. He also tried to talk her out of getting plastic surgery because he felt it would embarrass him at work (???).
Switching Teams
After the breakup, Javi and Kailyn’s relationship magically became better. They were friends again, and he even went on her podcast to talk things out. Briana had some strong feelings about that.
Tell ‘Em
In an epic Twitter rant, Briana went off on both Javi and Kailyn, again telling her to suck her dick and told Javi that he needed to stop being shady. Well, she said a lot more than that, but that was the gist.
Calm Before the Storm
That happened in January, and for a few months, things were mostly quiet between Briana and Kailyn. But then the new season started airing, and everyone started seeing the footage of what went down, and, wouldn’t you know it, it just fanned those flames all over again.
Dang It, Twitter
They both tweeted during the season premiere — Kailyn called Briana’s vacation with Javi a “clusterf-ck” that had her kids calling Briana’s kids their cousins, and Briana told her to “keep it moving.”
Let It Gooooo
In an interview from earlier this month, Briana called Kailyn a “cry baby,” and told her to “get over it” and “let it go.” As we’ve learned, that did not happen.
FIGHT
We know that because over the weekend, the cast filmed the reunion for this season. And during the filming, Kailyn and Briana tried to get into a physical fight. Twice.
Get It Together
Both Kailyn and Briana have said that Kail tried to work things out privately — and by “work things out,” we mean “fight it out.” They went to a room without cameras (but with security), and Briana says that Kailyn asked her to hit her. In Kailyn’s version, she asked her to get up, but the basic story is the same.
The Duel is On
At that point, both ladies knew that the feud wasn’t over. Briana says that she told Kailyn to wait until she saw her again, and we all know what happened next.
The DeJesus Sisters
According to witnesses as well as Briana herself, there was another point during filming when all the moms were supposed to be onstage together. When she was walking up, she saw Kail, and she started running for her, but she fell. Brittany got involved at this point too, and she was able to pull Kail’s hair before security got everyone separated.
It Never Stops
Sounds like a nightmare, right? But apparently we’ve only heard half the story.
Oooh, Girl!
According to sources who spoke with The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, Briana had a “complete meltdown” after that near-fight with Kailyn, and MTV was so upset with what happened that they sent her and Brittany home early, cutting them out of the next day of filming.
Too Much Violence
The issue was the violence — yes, Kail tried to start something earlier, but she did it in private. It sounds like the DeJesus sisters crossed the line when they brought the violence onstage.
“Like a Madwoman”
And it’s not just because of the details we’ve heard already — according to these sources, things got even worse after Briana tried to attack Kailyn but fell while running towards her. After that, Kail left the stage, and Briana began “acting like a madwoman.”
Going Crazy
“She was trying to get to Kail on the stage and when she couldn’t, she was screaming and throwing stuff,” the insider claims. “She threw a vase that was on-set! The vase shattered and Briana was screaming like a crazy person.â€Â
So Much Rage
One of MTV’s burliest security guards had to hold her back, and “The guy is huge and he had her super tight, but Briana kept trying to wiggle out of his grip and was kicking so she could be released. She ended up falling to floor and the security guard went with her.â€Â
Oh No
And if that wasn’t embarrassing enough, there was also a bit of a “wardrobe malfunction” — “her dress came up and her thong was totally exposed. Like, they’re going to have to blur out her butt if they show the footage. She didn’t seem too worried about it, though.â€Â
Too Trashy?
“The best part of the entire thing is that the audience started chanting “Kail! Kail!†like on The Jerry Springer Show while it was all going on on-stage!†the source adds.
NOOOOOO
There’s even speculation that all of this could mean the end of Teen Mom 2. The word is that the cast was supposed to sign contracts for the next season over the weekend, but that didn’t happen.
Sigh …
And if they DO get another season, those special reunions we’ve grown so used to will be no more — “There is NO WAY they’re going to keep doing the reunions this way because it’s clearly an unsafe environment to have all of them together.”
Way to Go, Bri
“Everyone saw her throw the vase,” the source explains, “and were not OK with it. Now [the show’s producers] have to figure out how they’re gonna do the reunions going forward but it’s clear that it can’t stay the way it is anymore.”
Well, Yeah
That much is obvious. Jenelle didn’t even show up because of how bad the feuding between the cast has gotten, and Chelsea was said to be very, very upset about the fighting. If Kailyn and Briana can’t be around each other, and if Jenelle and Kailyn can’t be around each other, and if nobody wants to be around Briana, it’s pretty clear that something different needs to happen.
