Amber Portwood just received some more good news in court.
But the embattled Teen Mom OG star still has a long way to go until her full parenting rights are restored,

Let’s Get Right To It, Shall We?
Portwood has barely seen her 15-month old son, James, since her arrest for domestic assault on July 5.
Why Not?
Because Andrew Glennon has filed for full custody of the infant after accusing Amber of throwing a shoe at time, threatening suicide and even using a machete to try and break down a door behind which he was hiding with the little boy.
When Did She Last See James?
On July 18, we believe. But Amber didn’t do so alone. She must be accompanied by a court-approved supervisor when in the presence of her son these days.
It Hasn’t Been Easy for Portwood
“Just missing one beautiful little man,” she wrote as part of a caption to this recent montage, which she shared online after seeing her daughter, Leah.
But She Just Received Some Good News at Least
On August 7, a judge awarded Amber with additional time with James. She will be permitted more visits with him going forward, but once again only under the supervision of another individual.
It’s a Small Victory
But it’s better than nothing, of course, and Amber seems to appreciate it.
Does She?!?
Yes. Consider the meme Portwood posted (above) after this decision was reached, along with the caption that reads: “I cannot even express how thankful I am for this morning. sincerely so much love and thanks to all of the beautiful intelligent people out there.”
What’s Next?
Amber is due in court for another hearing on August 22.
But What’s Next for Her and Glennon?
Nothing, one would think, considering a no-contact order remains in place and Amber isn’t even allowed to go near her second baby daddy.
HOWEVER…
Andrew won’t totally rule out a reconciliation. “There’s gonna be a lot of healing that needs to be done and repairing between James and I,” Glennon told DailyMailTV earlier this month when asked about his romance. “As far as relationships go in the future … a lot of healing has to be done for everybody.”
He’d Really Give Amber Yet Another Chance?
Not according to an anonymous source, who tells Us Weekly: “Andrew seems more concerned with public perception than getting back together with Amber. He’s done nothing to indicate he wants to be back with her, and she’s done nothing to indicate she wants to get back together with him.”
See Ya, Would Hate to Be Ya!
“They’re as good as done and haven’t spoken since the court ordered them not to,” concludes this tabloid report.
Can One Blame Glennon If This is Accurate?
Amber allegedly attacked him, of course, and then has also seemingly been accusing him of some terrible things in the weeks since.
Like Being a Cheater, For Instance
Portwood posted this meme and then quickly deleted it just days after her arrest.
And Also of Being a Drunk Driver
She did the same with this meme, writing along with it: “Hmm…how long have I been quiet to protect people. Read in between the lines and let me be! DONE!”
So… Glennon has Cheated on Her and Endangered Her Life via Drunk Driving?
She has very much seemed to hint at this, based on these memes… and Glennon has taken notice.
The Guy Isn’t Stupid
Speaking to Us Weekly, Andrew notes that Portwood is “quick to attack by posting accusatory messages and deleting them†as well as “grasping for any forgivable explanation to her own actions when there was none. Just like it has been in past incidents.”
Is He Manipulative, Though?
Andrew has been sharing many photos on Instagram of late of himself and his son. Does he have malicious intent for doing so?
How Dare He?!?
Says this same Us Weekly insider: “Andrew took James for a haircut and has posted many pictures of James — Andrew is rubbing it in Amber’s face that she can’t be with her son and Andrew is still staying in the house she owns. Also, he’s a dirty fighter. He was saying a lot of nasty things to her that were hurtful and personal when they were arguing on the 4th [of July], as if to antagonize her.”
What Say You, Andrew?
“She is in total control of the future of this relationship, but if she wants to pass the buck to someone else, ignore her downfalls and not do what is right, that’s on her,†he fired back to Us.
She Needs SERIOUS Help!
“Amber needs help and the sooner she acknowledges that, the healthier and happier she will be,” he added.
All This Said, He Still Won’t Kick Amber Totally to the Curb
“There can’t be any better indication of me wanting a family than me taking care of our beautiful son and keeping him safe,†he says. “He sees photos of her every day, smells her smells and plays with toys they loved to play with.”
But Amber Has a Long, Long Way to Go
Again, remember, Glennon wants full custody of James. He doesn’t trust his girlfriend at all right now.
Consider What He Has Said in Court
Reads his legal documents: “Father believes it is in James’ best interests that he be awarded sole legal and primary physical custody. Father believes that it is not currently in James’ best interests for Mother to have unsupervised parenting time.
And Also:
“Father believes Mother is currently unable to provide a safe, stable and secure environment for James on an ongoing basis due to her frequent refusal and/or failure to take medicines prescribed to treat her mental-health conditions, among other concerns.”
Portwood Remains a Teen Mom?!?
Yes. In fact, MTV cameras have been filming her court hearings, prepared to use this scandal as a major storyline next season.
Let’s Be Clear, However…
Depending on what information comes out and/or can be proven down the line, Amber could still very well be fired by MTV.
