Did you hear? Scary British runway walker Naomi Campbell “took a meeting” with Venezuelan prez Hugo Chavez. And in case that’s not weird enough already, now Palestinian terrorists are calling Campbell “courageous” and interpreting the Amazonian phone-thrower’s precedent setting actions to mean the tides of America’s political landscape are officially changing for the better.
Abu Nasser, chief of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs??? Brigades terror group in the Old City of Nablus in the West Bank, said: “The visit presents a slap in the face to Bush and his government and his policy. The fact that she respects Chavez, and his ideals, can bring more people to follow this step.”
At least, in theory.
But as our younger sister dutifully points out:
1) Naomi Campbell is a fashion model, not a role model.
2) Nor is she particularly influential.
3) Being British, Campbell is not an American citizen.
4) She is, however, best known to Americans as “the bitchy model who’s always clubbing her assistants with inanimate objects.”
And so, it stands to reason that, since Naomi Campbell can’t even hold onto a mobile phone, she is, in all likelihood, incapable of brainwashing an entire country into embracing Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez.
Still, one can’t help but wonder why exactly those two were so eager to meet in the first place. It’s not as though they have anything in common!
Unless, of course, you count gargantuan egos, a propensity toward violence, and the drive (unhampered by the moral decency) to claw their way to the top by any means necessary.

first of i would strongly disagree on saying that naomi is not a rolemodel because she is…naomi is a rolemodel for anyone out there who wants to aspire to be a model, ones got to have the attitude to disagree and not follow the mouse and also ones gotta walk and talk and look like naomi or at least in resemblance!
not influential?????? the writer to this article obviously does not know that naomi is very influential in terms of fashion, when its time for the big shows, who do the designers hire?? no one but naomi but baby can sell them clothes like no other! okay so she has attacked her assistants and caused a lot of pain but she is still beautiful and she is the queen of fashion, no one does it like naomi! therefore i would disagree coz when naomi visited chavez it become big news and thus we are discussing it right now..it prompted you to write this article and thus would give u attention so therefore once again naomi is influential! because you yourself has taken the time to write a detailed article about naomi! why not write some postive for once?? because if bad mouthing someone is a way for you to get credit then i believe your not influential after!
