Les Goodstein is all the rage today. Since switching teams from his position as President and Chief Operating Officer at the New York Daily News, to a VP post at the New York Post, the media world who never even knew his name now cares a whole bunch.
Goodstein worked for the News for 28 years, selling ads and watching over Mort Zuckerman’s buried bodies. In true journalistic grace, Keith Kelly uses this opportunity to plug the Post, and score points with the boss man:
Even top brass at the Daily News prefer The Post ???????? with the News’ President and Chief Operating Officer Les Goodstein crossing town to join America’s fastest-growing newspaper.
Over the past five years, The Post has been the fastest-growing newspaper in the U.S.
In the meantime, Daily News staffers shrug, look around, and ask “what the hell are we supposed to do now?”
Zuck was apparently not that pleased either — though, interrupting someone on their vacation in Aspen to ask them to come back to work for you probably isn’t the best route. Well, at least he has Ra…oh, yeah. Well, at least he doesn’t have Fox.
