What first looked like a ‘piece of cake’ jail sentence, is now turning out to be anything but the walk in the park that the actor first imagined. “Two and a Half Men” star Charlie Sheen is getting closer to having to return to Aspen, Colorado to serve his jail time and things have taken a bad turn.
Last week we reported that Sheen would be allowed work release, and that he would be spending his time at the Theatre Aspen teaching acting lessons and working in the fund-raising department. Now, it looks like he could be spending his time at the local garbage dump.
Jail Administrative Officer Beverly Campbell is running the show in the Sheen case and she is adamant that the actor is not eligible for the Work Release program.
The only way she will allow Charlie out of jail would be if he works for the Useful Public Service program (UPS). Each day Beverly receives hundreds of emails from local businesses who need help for the day. On the list are the dump, the landfill and the hospital. She then decides which inmates are eligible to leave the jail and doles out assignments.
We should point out that Theatre Aspen is on the list, but Charlie’s chances of being sent there by Ms Campbell are slim to none. It’ll be the dump for sure.
The photo above was taken in Aspen on June 7, 2010. That is the day he expected to start his jail sentence and begin the gravy train gig at the local theater. When those negotiations derails, Sheen’s lawyer pulled the plug and they went back to L.A.
