HBO ‘Veep’ star Julia Louis-Dreyfus had lunch with Vice President Joe Biden on Friday.

The White House confirmed the hookup with a photo of the actress sitting behind the desk of the high-profile politician. The image was captioned, “Fiction meets non fiction. Veep Julia Louis-Dreyfus meets VP Joe Biden.”

Louis-Dreyfus said, “I came to have lunch with Vice President Joe Biden and I surprised him by sitting at his desk.”

She went on to say, “So he thought he’d just ask my advice on various briefs he had to deal with and I was happy to give him my advice, which he paid no attention to whatsoever.”

Julia won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Actress last year for her portrayal of the fictional VP Selina Meyer.

Season two of the political satire kicks off Sunday, April 14, on HBO at 10 p.m. ET.
