Alan Schram, a business associate of the late Russell Armstrong, committed suicide the day after Russell. Coincidence, or something else entirely?

TMZ reported that Armstrong’s close friend and colleague died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head on August 16, just one day after the body of Taylor Armstrong‘s husband was discovered hanged at the home of a friend.

Both deaths have been ruled suicide by the Los Angeles County Coroner. A memorial service for Russell Armstrong took place earlier this week.

Schram was the managing partner at Wellcap, an L.A. based hedge fund. The men were connected with the group Tiger 21, a network of people who critique each other’s financial portfolios.

Neither of the men left a suicide note. Russell, struggling with money issues, quit taking an anti-depressant medication two weeks before his suicide, reportedly prescribed to control his rage issues.
