Robin Roberts and her long-time partner Amber Laign have been bombarded with love and support via social media following the ‘GMA’ co-host’s coming out message on Facebook Sunday.

She penned, “I am grateful for my entire family, my long time girlfriend, Amber, and friends as we prepare to celebrate a glorious new year together.”

ABC News issued this statement: “We love Robin and Amber, who we have known for a long time. We were so touched by Robin’s Facebook message today and so thankful for all the loving support she has in her life.”

First Lady Michelle Obama tweeted Monday from Hawaii, “I am so happy for you and Amber! You continue to make us all proud.”

Standup comic Wanda Sykes wrote, “Go on with your bad self!”

Ellen DeGeneres offered up, “Good morning, America! Congratulations, @RobinRoberts.”

Country singer Chely Wright, who came out in 2010, “Big love and respect to you, @RobinRoberts !”

Rosie O’Donnell said, “Robin Roberts comes out, thanks ‘long time girlfriend’ in Facebook post. ONLY LOVE 2 ROBIN ROBERTS #courage&truth”

Roberts’ partner studied massage therapy at The Swedish Institute of Health Sciences in 2008 and is now a licensed massage therapist in private practice. She has a fashion background, having worked as a showroom sales rep for Berger & Stevens for nine years.

Laign and Sally Ann Roberts accompanied Robin to the ESPY Awards in July 2013, where the television personality received the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage.
