Back in February, shocking footage of Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice dragging his unconscious girlfriend through the lobby of an Atlantic City hotel and casino went public.

The world was stunned by the footage, and even more stunned when NFL commissioner Roger Goodell handed down a measly 2-game suspension as punishment.

Well yesterday, Goodell and everyone else who was complicit in sweeping the matter under the rug was forced to take a look at what domestic violence really looks like:

Footage of Rice brutally knocking Janay Palmer unconscious was released by TMZ, leading to Rice being cut by his team – the Baltimore Ravens – and suspended indefinitely by the NFL.

For her part, Palmer has blamed the media for releasing the footage which has caused her nothing but “pain and unwanted opinions from the public.”

Rice and Palmer married earlier this year, just one day after he was indicted on domestic violence charges.
