NeNe Leakes is one of the most tenured Housewives on Bravo, which is surprising, because she’s experienced more career success outside of the show than perhaps any of the other ladies.
NeNe has a recurring role on Glee, she’ll play the wicked stepmother in Broadway’s Cinderella this fall, she’s launched a production company with a full slate of reality shows set for release in 2015…
The list goes on and on. Given the fact that RHOA has been more chock full of drama than ever lately, it’s pretty surprising that NeNe has stuck it out for seven seasons. Based on one of her latest tweets, however, it seems Ms. Leakes has finally had enough.
“Sometimes n life you just have to move on!” NeNe tweeted yesterday. “4 growth, 4 sanity, 4 healing! It’s a sacrifice! Pray about it!”
She didn’t come right out and say it, but we’re guessing we know what she’s moving on from.
NeNe Leakes quitting Real Housewives would certainly signal the end of an era, but it may be an era who’s time has come.
As the show veers into more hair-pulling, Jerry Springer-esque territory, it might be necessary for classier gals such as NeNe to jump ship.
