MSNBC has come under fire for their plan to air a Dr. Conrad Murray documentary on Friday night, just days after he was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson.
The doctor sat down a few days before the verdict for an exclusive interview with Today Show host Savannah Guthrie to tell his side of the story. The NBC morning show aired some teaser segments during their Thursday and Friday telecasts.
Jackson’s estate fired off a series of letters to Comcast, NBC Universal, and MSNBC in an eleventh hour attempt to kill tonight’s airing of the special. The request apparently fell on deaf ears.
La Toya Jackson has a message for viewers, “What I would encourage the public to take away from the situation is that Michael is an irreplaceable artist and human, whose talent and love for the world will forever go unmatched.”
