Earlier this week, rumors circulated that Jesse James and Kat Von D –born Katherine Von Drachenberg – are dating.
James and Kat headed to Vegas over the weekend, enjoying a very intimate meal at the Palms Casino Resort’s N9NE. They were spotted holding hands during the meal, and after as they left N9NE and headed to a black Mercedes that James was driving.
Earlier today, Kat confirmed the rumors, tweeting, “Yes, Jesse and I are dating.”
The tattoo artist known for her work on LA Ink quickly deleted the message but not before it was re-Tweeted by more than 100 people.
Von D’s rep previously said that Kat and James are just friends and the weekend in Vegas is not the beginning of a new romance.
However, a source tells People the friendship could turn into something more.
“Jesse and Kat drove to Las Vegas together in Jesse’s car. It was just the two of them and they slept in the same room,” says the source. “They have been friends for years, but this is the first time they are both single.”
Another source adds that Jesse may as well find someone new, “Jesse’s friends are happy that he is dating again. It’s a good thing that he has moved on from Sandra, because it seemed a bit delusional of Jesse to think that Sandra would take him back after he caused tons of hurtful drama.”
