Hannah Teter is an American snowboarder who won a gold medal in Halfpipe at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Torino, Italy. She hoped to repeat that feat in Vancouver at the 2010 Winter Games but had to settle for silver, behind Torah Bright of Australia who won gold.

The 23-year-old blonde athlete has caused some controversy by appearing in the Sports Illustrated Olympic Stars issue in the days prior to the opening ceremonies. Appearing in SI with Teter are U.S. Olympic athletes Clair Bidez, Lacy Schnoor, and the gorgeous and talented skier Lindsey Vonn – check out her SI bikini photo gallery here.

Teter said, “The pictures are a little risque but they’re totally not sexual. Bodies are beautiful and should be appreciated. Models work so hard to be in that magazine and for them to ask me to be in it was really cool.”

Hannah has four brothers. Abe and Elijah have been on the U.S. Snowboard Team and their oldest brother Amen is the agent and manager for all of the family athletes.

Snowboarding and modeling are not Teter’s only claims to fame. Ben & Jerry’s named an ice cream flavor after Hannah — Maple Blondie.

The Halfpipe competition was Thursday, February 18. Fellow competitor Gretchen Bleiler finished 11th after falling on her final run – see her bikini pics here.

One of the standout athletes at the Vancouver Games has been Alpine skier Julia Mancuso, who captured two silver medals and has two more opportunities on Saturday and next Wednesday – see ‘Super Jules’ bikini photos here.

Another U.S. Olympic teammate is Snowboard Cross athlete Lindsey Jacobellischeck out her gallery here.
