Hannah Teter is an American snowboarder who won a gold medal in Halfpipe at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Torino, Italy. She hoped to repeat that feat in Vancouver at the 2010 Winter Games but had to settle for silver, behind Torah Bright of Australia who won gold.
The 23-year-old blonde athlete has caused some controversy by appearing in the Sports Illustrated Olympic Stars issue in the days prior to the opening ceremonies. Teter said, “The pictures are a little risque but they’re totally not sexual. Bodies are beautiful and should be appreciated. Models work so hard to be in that magazine and for them to ask me to be in it was really cool.”
Hannah has four brothers. Abe and Elijah have been on the U.S. Snowboard Team and their oldest brother Amen is the agent and manager for all of the family athletes.
Snowboarding and modeling are not Teter’s only claims to fame. Ben & Jerry’s named an ice cream flavor after Hannah — Maple Blondie.
