Sunday night was taping night for Idol Gives Back at Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre. The star studded event will be broadcast on Wednesday night in place of the normal American Idol show.
One of the big highlights was a duet by Fergie and Heart. They performed a rocking though abbreviated rendition of Heart’s Barracuda, which featured the pop artist launching into two cartwheels on stage.
Barracuda is usually five minutes long, so we were sweating it with the arrangement, and so was Fergie,” Nancy Wilson said backstage. “We had two chances to get it right. The first two times we got it very wrong. We actually did it right when it mattered.”

We’ve got a version of Barracuda performed by Fergie in San Diego last May. Check it out and see how it compares to the upcoming performance on Idol Gives Back.
