Casey Anthony had until noon on August 26, 2011 to surrender to the Florida Department of Corrections so that she could begin serving a one-year probation term. Anthony complied with the court order on Wednesday evening.

Earlier this month a judge ordered Anthony to return to Orlando to complete the one-year probation sentence that was handed down as a result of a 2010 check-fraud conviction.

Her legal team unsuccessfully argued that Casey served her probation while she was behind bars for 3 years waiting to stand trial for the 2008 death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.

Anthony was acquitted of murder charges and was freed from the Orange County Jail on July 17. She went into hiding and was spotted in Ohio on August 2.

Florida corrections officials have scheduled an 11:00 a.m. press conference to discuss the probation. The judge has put a gag order on her address and personal information. According to sources, she plans to spend her time taking online classes.
