Country singer Carrie Underwood‘s husband Mike Fisher was attacked by a chipmunk who objected with a vengeance when the athlete snatched it off the floor in the couple’s bathroom.

The award-winning songstress posted a video on her Vine page of the entire ordeal. She narrated, “A squirrel got into our house,” but was promptly corrected by Fisher, 33, who informed her it was a garden variety chipmunk.

The former NHLer grabbed the animal around its middle with the intention of dropping it into a plastic container for a trip outside. It began squealing, which prompted Underwood to plead, “Don’t hurt it.” – watch that here.

In a second Vine video posted 8 minutes later, Carrie, Mike, and their dog were in the car on the way to see a doctor. She can be heard saying “Mikey, show me your hand.” He promptly showing off two red bite marks while lamenting, “Newfound respect for the mighty chipmunk.”

Underwood tweeted afterward, “The chipmunk is back outside where it belongs! Chipmunk 1, @mikefisher1212’s hand 0.”

Fisher hit social media too, “Turleman’d a chipmunk in the bathroom. They have more bite force than I thought and sick vertical too!”
