Brooke Mueller has filed a lawsuit against The Canyon rehab facility in Malibu for leaking her confidential medical information.
Mueller, the ex-wife of Charlie Sheen, sought help from The Canyon in February 2010. This came shortly after the public Christmas fall out in Aspen that landed hubby in jail. Their divorce was finalized in May 2011.
The suit states that several days after Brooke entered the facility, news of her exact whereabouts went public. Mueller claims that it was a treatment center staff member who leaked the info to the media.
Brooke’s private patient admission documents detailing her personal issues and treatment plan landed in the hands of at least one website, TMZ. They broke the story but did not reveal the actual paperwork.
The Canyon officials are reportedly conducting the own internal investigation into the source of the medical records breach.
