Actress Amanda Bynes has completed her inpatient treatment and is now recovering at her parents home in Los Angeles.

Family lawyer Tamar Arminak stated, “Amanda and her entire family would like to thank everyone who contacted them with good thoughts and wishes for Amanda’s recovery. Amanda has completed her inpatient rehabilitation and she’s feeling better every day.”

In July Amanda was forced into a psychiatric hospital on an involuntary 5150 hold, the result of a long series of ordeals that ended with the troubled actress setting a fire in a Thousand Oaks, California driveway.

Bynes, diagnosed with schizophrenia, was transferred in September from UCLA Medical Center to a Malibu-based rehab facility with a strong focus on mental health.

The lawyer told PEOPLE, “She’s now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design. She has previously mentioned an interested in creating a clothing line.”

“Despite the fact Amanda is no longer in a facility, her outpatient treatment is continuing. She’s very happy to reestablish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared.”

In a situation similar to Britney Spears’, Amanda’s mother Lynn was granted conservatorship over her daughters personal and financial affairs and will continue in that role.
