Eva Longoria will try her hand at television directing during the season two premiere episode of the Lifetime comedy-drama ‘Devious Maids.’
Since her long-running acting gig as Gabrielle Solis on ‘Desperate Housewives’ ended, Longoria has hooked up with her old boss Marc Cherry as an executive producer of the Mexican TV series ‘Devious Maids.’
The series originally premiered on June 23, 2013 and was picked up for a second season that is set to kick off on April 20, 2014. She will be the face behind the camera in mid-January when filming resumes.
According to creator Cherry, she may well end up being cast as a cast member at some point down the line. He acknowledged that when that happens, “Eva Longoria will not just be buried in a cameo.”
In addition, Longoria recently sold two projects to NBC during development season through her company UnbeliEVAble Entertainment. In her spare time she graduated from a master’s program at Cal State University Northridge in May 2013.
Regarding her love life, the gorgeous Eva is reportedly dating businessman Jose Antonio Baston.
