Barbara Walters' 2013 Most Fascinating List

2013 most fascinating people on the planet

ABC just released Barbara Walters' picks for 2013 Most Fascinating People of the Year while hyping her annual 90-minute television special.

This will be the last such show for the veteran television personality who turned 84 in September and will step out of the limelight during the summer of 2014.

Her list includes 'Wrecking Ball' singer Miley Cyrus, 'Hunger Games' star Jennifer Lawrence, NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, and'Good Morning America' co-host Robin Roberts.

She has also chosen the recently engaged couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, third heir to the British monarchy Prince George, Pope Francis, long distance swimmer Diana Nyad and the Robertson family of 'Duck Dynasty' fame.

Not everyone is personally interviewed and one might guess that Prince George and Ed Snowden won't be sitting down for a chat.

As is her normal practice, Barbara is withholding her #1 pick for Most Fascinating until the show airs -- though the name usually leaks prior to the broadcast.

Let us know who you think tops this year's list.  We're thinking it just might be Angelina Jolie -- who went public with her decision to have a double mastectomy after learning that she carried the same gene that led to her mother's early death.
