Celebrities Pay Tribute to Paul Walker
Following the tragic death of 'Fast and Furious' actor Paul Walker, social media has been flooded with heartfelt tributes from his Hollywood colleagues.
The 40-year-old began filming 'Fast & Furious 7' in Atlanta in September and was on Thanksgiving break in Santa Clarita, California when the red Porsche he was riding in crashed and burst into flames (see video here), killing Walker and the driver, his friend Roger Rodas.
His pal and co-star Vin Diesel is reportedly inconsolable after learning of the untimely death of his fellow actor. He tweeted:
The Walker family, who reside in the San Fernando Valley area, issued this statement hours after his death: "It is with heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives."
"We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences. #TeamPW"
According to TMZ, autopsies are pending until dental records could be obtained for both men. This step was taken because fire consumed the vehicle and the bodies were too badly burned to be visually identified.
