The ‘Up Late with Alec Baldwin’ show that airs Fridays on MSNBC has been suspended for two episodes according to the cable channel.

It comes on the heels of a very bad week for actor Alec Baldwin, who was videotaped shouting a gay slur at a photographer while strolling near his Manhattan coop apartment with wife Hilaria and their infant daughter.

His month-old MSNBC interview show did not air last night and will not be shown next week in protest of his hate speak utterance “c—s—ing f-g.”

The former ’30 Rock’ celeb issued this apology: “I did not intend to hurt or offend anyone with my choice of words, but clearly I have — and for that I am deeply sorry. Words are important. I understand that, and will choose mine with great care going forward.”

He added, “What I said and did this week, as I was trying to protect my family, was offensive and unacceptable. Behavior like this undermines hard-fought rights that I vigorously support.”

Baldwin has a history of questionable encounters with the paparazzi that result in his angry mug being plastered in the tabloids, further fueling his anger at anyone who attempts to photograph his family.
