According to just about every major pop culture website on the planet, Adam Levine will be named PEOPLE‘s 2013 Sexist Man Alive. The annual magazine issue hits newsstands Wednesday, Nov. 20.

The Maroon 5 rocker and judge on ‘The Voice’ played it coy during an interview Friday with Savannah Guthrie on NBC’s TODAY Show.

When asked if the growing rumors were true, he responded with a knowing smirk, “It’s an interesting idea. I know nothing.”

Levine, 34, recently got engaged to supermodel Behati Prinsloo. He began dating the Victoria’s Secret Angel in May 2012. The couple split this past March and reconciled in July when he asked her to marry him.

Prinsloo participated earlier this week in the 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

PEOPLE considers their yearly ‘Sexiest Man’ pick a benchmark of male attractiveness among Hollywood big screen celebrities. It is determined in a similar procedure to Time magazine’s Person of the Year.

Past ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ winners include: Channing Tatum, Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds, Johnny Depp, Hugh Jackman, Matt Damon, George Clooney, Matthew McConaughey and Jude Law. The very first winner, circa 1985, was Mel Gibson.
